Udinese always sell at some point for a profit. They've been conducting business like that for years.
I agree... but I think they can hold onto them for a while longer before cashing in. Zapata just signed a big extension, did he not? (Or was that Felipe?) They won't be sold until at least Summer 08. The guys on my list can likely be bought in January for the right price and in ideal circumstances.

Gallas is a better stopper than Barzagli.
I won't argue that, but Barzagli is 4-5 years younger, proven and experienced in Serie A, which Gallas is not (I will grant that French players tend to adapt well to Italian play though), and in need for a big team move to increase his exposure and cement his spot in the Italian NT. Gallas also apparently has an attitude problem. Maybe Ranieri knows how to deal with that, maybe its something he's developed that CR can't handle. Gallas might not take kindly to Ranieri taking advantage of his versatility.

All these factors make Barzagli more appealing.

i honestly totally forgot about trez :D
Forgot Trez? Or just that he was French? If so, see your Doctor, you've caught RaymondDomenechFuckWit-itis. Its similar to ThunderBird syndrome

Gallas is a better stopper than Barzagli.
For now, given time - & a big club (ideally one who plays in Turin & wears stripes!) - Barzagli can reach that level, without the baggage.

Gallas might not take kindly to Ranieri taking advantage of his versatility.

All these factors make Barzagli more appealing.
Thats why Gallas left Chelsea, he didn't want Jose to play him at LB. Would def rather take Barzagli. A partnership of him & Andrade would be a very solid blend, & with Criscito/Legro/Chiellini to provide cover we'd be in good shape.

Emmanuel Eboue and Kolo Toure:tup: ...I love these guys because they are aggressive players and pretty fast to get back..
you probably only watched him against Juve,i dont blame you..generally he is a lazy arrogant bum..who thinks that he doesnt always have to track back and defend..I'm a fan of his though..i think he is extremely talented..he just needs to fix his attitude problem..

He's mostly on the bench now for Arsenal..maybe that will fix his attitude.

I don't know if these rumours are true and I guess they are not but for the record

Gallas is superior to any defender we have by a mile and that inlcudes the much praised Chiellini, only a juventus fan would argue with that by the way.

Gallas can play with distinction left back, right back and centre back, how many players can make that boast? To say Barzagli is better is not true at all

Gilberto Silva is an upgrade to any defensive midfielder we currently have and at 31 he is the same age with Zanetti who has outshone his younger counterparts so far this season.

To say no to Drogba with the distinct lack of pace and power on our attack is just madness.

Like Fredweasley said Eboue is great going forward but sill decision maker at the back and gets wound up over silly things .

I just don't see why Kolo Toure should be sold by Wenger though

I am all for youth and all but if he is not Italian, then I would rather a foreign old man that has pedigree

100% puro

versatility is something we really need especially in our silk sheet of our defense. lets get off barzagli's balls and be real about this. gallas is a really good player and he can only make us better if he were to come to juve.

according to goal.com juve is also linked with carvalho and senderos. wtf is going on. either the press doesnt have a clue whats going on or they are making up stories that might hinder juve's chances of landing the ones really wanted, especially if the players read the news or the rumours. these rumours are ridiculing juve's motives. on the otherhand it is good that clubs like inter wont know who juve is lining up. what do you guys think? are these numerous rumours for the better or the worse?

Personally, I don't think it has any effect.

Most players could care less what the media says, since a lot of it is just to drum up interest in their publication.

All they know for sure is that Secco was in London. For all they know, he was there to catch a game and arrange some friendlies. The assumption is that he was there to deal with the major London squads. Its logical from there to assume that they're looking for defenders and midfielders. So you make a rumor for any of the players those teams have that might leave, toss in a "Tiago swap" to make it sound convincing, and maybe toss out a name like Drogba cause he's been publically upset.

Everyone knows Juventus is making at least one major swoop, maybe two. Thats not anything new. The media is just making it fun trying to guess who the lucky players are.
