Our record at half season is 12 wins-13 draws-2 defeats (45:25)
    - We're 4th placed in serie A, 5 pts behind the leaders, with 31 points (8-7-2 and goal difference 32:17)
    - We're eliminated from Europa League
    - We're yet to play in Coppa Italia

Statistically, our best attacking players are:
    1. Iaquinta 1 goal/assist every 119 minutes
    2. Quagliarella 1 goal/assist every 130 minutes
    3. Krasic 1 goal/assist every 134 minutes
    4. Del Piero 1 goal/assist every 155 minutes
    5. Amauri 1 goal/assist every 250 minutes
(From those who played very little, Diego has one goal/assist every 100 minutes, Giannetti 1 g/a in 86 minutes and Brazzo 1 g/a in 79 minutes)

Iaq has 6 goals and 3 assists in 1075 minutes
Quag has 9 goals and 1 assist in 1303 minutes
Right, and that's my point. Typically, the more minutes a player has on the field, the more likely his numbers will truly reflect his performances. For example, a player who usually scores 10 goals per season can have a lucky game and grab a hat trick. Now we might be tempted to say that he will score a large number of goals by the end of the season but in the long run, he'll score less often and eventually, his final number of goals scored will be close to 10.

If IQ plays 300 more minutes, it doesn't mean he'll score more goals but could mean quite the opposite. That he'll score less frequently.

    You are right.
In this particular case though, it's not really like that because Iaq needs only 1 goal or assist in 228 minutes to completely equal Quag's record of minutes played and goals/assists scored/made. So even if he won't keep his better record he will imo at least match Quag's record and half a season is a good amount of time to draw conclusions.
It's not like Iaquinta's 1 g/a in 119 minutes record is consisted of 3 goals and assists in 357 minutes. He too played quite a lot in this half season. Iaq's record is not bad at all. It's quite good actually. It;s the knowledge that his record should have been at least twice better what makes Iaquinta look bad.

That's true; I just didn't think the numbers truly reflected the player's performances. Quag has been a lot better for us than IQ but the numbers point to the opposite.

And yeah, IQ squandered far too many one on one's this year.
