Because he simply is not good enough. He isn't good enough a fullback for Ajax, he plays a central position as Mr.Gol pointed out. Besides that Ajax's defence isn't anything to be proud off. The three of Birindelli, Zebina and Pessotto have much more Champion's league experience than Grygera has. Not to mention more experience in Serie A, as well as already being at our club.
Grygera is a competent player that could do very well in a defense that is structured like ours. Don't be too hasty write him off.

He's not really that hasty...he's seen the guy play for almost three seasons now.

Well he is an upgrade to those 3 and you cannot deny that. Pessotto and Biri cant do it anymore theyre far to hold as you could see in the coppa italia when Juve faced Roma and Mancini absolutely dangled Pessotto. Maybe Zebina, but not even he can defend. Juve has been known to make average players a whole lot better, and thats exactly what they will do with this defender. Peace.
Didn't I already deny that, in my previous post? Pessotto and Birindelli are both past their primes yes, but still useful. They're good to have on the bench and realistically Grygera would only be a bench player for us as well, so why even try to sign him?
Zebina is a whole lot better than Grygera, he is on a completely different level.

Sure, Grygera himself would improve in a structured defence like ours. Yet Juve's defence would get no added value out of playing Grygera.

I have too. And no doubt Grygera is not going to be the leader of our defense, but I think that he would add depth and competence.

But why? Tudor and Zebina are clearly better defenders. Grygera lacks pace and has poor positioning in some situations, and he gets caught off guard quite a lot.

I don't understand why Grygera is worth spending on when we have Tudor on our books. The guy deserves a chance at the very least; he hasn't been given that since Capello came. It can't hurt us much anyway considering the performances Thuram has been putting in.

I don't trust Tudor. He makes a lot of fatal mistakes.
Yet he can do a very good job when called upon, and he is also good in headers and volleys. He can be another option in attack

at first years,he was a great defneder, even manchester united asked to buy us then but we refused, but then started those "errors",I was wathcing some of Siena's games,he was still doing these mistakes.I am not sure if he will get better.

the worst scene come to my mind the Manchester united game,he was very pathetic there.

I watch Croatia games as well, and he did brilliant. He helped out a lot in the defence and frustrates other players. For some reason, I think that he will succeed if Kovac is his partner in defence.

IMO Tudor shouldn't have been loaned out to Siena again, and we don't need Gladstone. With a central defence consisting of Thuram, Cannavaro, Kovac and Tudor, what more can you ask for? Especially now Thuram is starting to decline, we really need a backup. For this case Tudor will be good. Provides an added advantage in aerial attacks as well since he is good in air.

We're already too late with adding another for this season though.
