So your saying that the club should spend millions on setting up and maintaining a tv station that the fans arent gonna watch anyway... Great business sense that!

Sky Italia only has 3 milion subscribers, less than half of which subscribe to sports channels... so out of those 1.5 mil how many do you really think are juve fans and will subscribe... very few is the simple answer.

So for a few thousand subscribers you want the club to outlay millions.... yet then you will still be wanting new players etc, not to mention the reduction in tv money as that exclusive tag has been taken away.

Compare to manu tv... Sky uk have twice the number of subscribers and instead of half subbing to sports as in italy the uk has 2/3 's subbing to sport yet mutv only have in the region of 100 000 subs... to an outlay so far in the tens of milions... they are losing massive amounts of money

Even with launching a cut down service in a few other countries the channel still isnt commercially successful by any stretch

Well worth it!

With the current state of finances in italian football (bearing in mind that only recently juve announced that they expected to end this season well in the red) it jus isnt worth it... it would be nice but doesnt make sense at the moment

I suspect that there is more to that than meets the eye - perhaps some issue with rights for videos, the sales of which offset the cost of the tv station.

In the future yes, but mutv was based around an estimated 1 milion subs within the first year or so... they still have only 1/10th that... Club channels across the world have failed to meet expectations

Juve have done the right thing... they tested the waters with their regular program 'juventus in onda' which did ok at best, and have watched the other club channels, which are struggling a bit... though things may well change

Well, I think clubs don't set up TV channels just to gain money but to seek attention and enlargen their fanbase to get extra revenues through sales of merchandise. A way to promote their team.

Not exactly - only hardened fans are going to subscribe to them in the first place. Extra revenue would be through subscriptions, and perhaps ads, though I doubt they'd earn a lot through that at the moment.

i dissagree with ALL this... because it dosent have anything to do with IF we can see it outside italy, or IF we wanna pay for it, etc.. my point is that WE HAVE to HAVE a Juventus Channel when we are one of the BIGGEST clubs in the hole world... thats it.. no matter if if if.. ---> IMO!

A TV that almost none's gonna watch?

I think we are still far off from making that a reallity. The fact of the matter is, if we are ManU, I would take the investment of having a TVchannel to further promote the team. They are the number one merchandise seller in the world.

For me, to attrack money, investors, fans, we need quality football! and that should be our immediate investment. Show the world class football, not just great defending, and not having to be over excessive in attacks, but good flowing football.

With defensive football, juve still has a huge fan base, imagine if we played better style football.

So no, I don't think a Juve Channel would be wise. Or would you guys rather sell Zlatan or Buffon for one?

i read in a small column in an english paper that MUTV (man utd tele station) gets around 18 million viewers across the world and only 100.000 are in the uk. should juve do this?

i know chelsea, rangers and celtic have their owns channels but i dont know how many viewers they get.
