Juventus are reportedly keen on signing Roma defender Walter Samuel and River Plate striker Fernando Cavenaghi.
Parma youngsters Matteo Ferrari and Daniele Bonera have been Juve's main targets so far, but now it seems that the 'Old Lady' is ready to move for 26-year old Samuel instead.
Former Bianconeri star and South American talent scout Omar Sivori, told Channel 4: “If Juventus sigh Cavenaghi then it will certainly not be a mistake.
“He is still only 20 years old, but already scored 49 goals in 79 games with River Plate. I don’t think there’s another young striker like him in the world right now.
“If Trezeguet does leave then Cavenaghi would be an excellent substitute. He is physically strong and has an EC passport as his grandfather is Italian."
