Radio station in Palermo says Barzagli will pass his medical tomorrow morning...8.5m €. boh!

I'm confused and need a drink, one moment you hear Zamparini say he'll sell him, the other he'll keep him, the you got people saying he'll sign for Juve and pass a medical tomorrow. :wth:

Are you sure it's not just a standard health procedure in case lard in his arteries are clogging and causing heart problems?

id take barzagli in a heartbeat, and i disagree what u say in andrade and barzagli being similar, i think barzagli with the right guidance that i feel we can offer will be good, and he will command the ground better than andrade

Would you guys be comfortable with Andrade/Barzagli as our CB duo? I have doubts, too similar IMO.
I think it would be OK, not brilliant.

Andrade is commanding and reasonably quick (or at least he was before he got injured).

Barzagli is a generally solid player who now needs to prove he can step up to play for a club like us.

8.5?? WOW, nice, very nice!

I m just worried about them being to slow, i wanted our CB twin to be faster than Canna-Thuram used to be... o well, i hope they will make a good pair.

I'll believe it when I see him being presented officially, or I might believe it when I read it again later after a few drinks..

I have been drinking for the past week, and today I was hungover as fuck. So, I just chugged three beers. Now I feel better.

It's a viscious cycle, boys.

Keep up the good work. You'll drink yourself sober soon. :pint:

I've booked a week off work for a while so that will be a week long session. :D

I don't like Barzagli. Andrade can play both left and right centerback, so it's not a matter of Barzagli not fitting in the defense. But whether he's solid enough is another story and after watching him for a several years I can't say I trust him. I'd take Chiellini over him at centerback anyday of the week and 59,000 times on Sunday.

And Barzagli and Andrade are not very similar in my opinion... the latter is by far the better athlete, faster and just the all around better player.

"Barzagli resta con noi, non c'è stato nessun incontro con la Juventus". Queste le parole di Maurizio Zamparini, presidente del Palermo, che così smentisce le voci su un possibile trasferimento del difensore in maglia bianconera: "Se la Juventus vuole un centrale - ha poi aggiunto - dovrà cercarselo all'estero. Barzagli disputerà un grande campionato con il Palermo".

correct me if im wrong my italian is a little rusty and the hint i get from this is that its not true that hes moving to juve

p.s zamparini apparently means kick in english

I find both of them rely on a marking role and don't really have the leadership role to control the D, maybe Andrade as it a bit more than Barza but a combo of a younger Canna and one of the 2 would have been perfect but that might just be the alcohol effects kicking in. :pint:
