hmm okay.. read this smartass!

Gilardino fee rocks Milan Wednesday 22 June, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alberto Gilardino’s move to Milan is again in doubt as a result of Parma’s asking price for the striker.

Gialloblu transfer chief Luca Baraldi met with Adriano Galliani this morning, but the latter admitted there was one major problem blocking the swoop.

"Gilardino wants to join Milan and we want him," the Vice-president stated. "But there is some difference between their request and our offer.

"Nothing has been resolved for now. At this moment in time, the figures being mentioned are out of our reach."

Parma are believed to have lowered their initial valuation of £35m to £25m, but that is still seemingly too high for the Rossoneri.

That may now let other clubs join the race, with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter and Juventus also keen.

"I don’t think this transfer will be resolved quickly," Baraldi stated. "We had this meeting with Milan today so you can say we have started negotiations.

"But we will now speak to other clubs, who have asked to remain nameless, after making initial enquiries for our player.

"Chelsea? There has been contact on a number of occasions but that is the case with other clubs too."

Gilardino was hoping to have his future resolved by the end of this week, but Baraldi has warned that his transfer could turn into a saga.

"This is a very complicated move because Parma do need to build a new side for next season," he added.

Meanwhile, Milan have reportedly agreed to sell Vikash Dhorasoo to Paris Saint-Germain. PSG will pay £2m and offer the midfielder a two-year contract.

But what cassano can do that the others can't???I mean if Mutu plays like he used to?
First of, its because we all know what Cassano is able to do in a team, and then, he is italian, he is younger, and moggi likes him, he even tried to sign him before roma got him from bari, and we got capello, u know Cassano's "father".. :)

about mutu, i really like this guy, but i feel like we have to sign Cassano, we cant let him move to inter or real just because we have mutu! he will be big, trust me.. Imo, we should get Cassano No matter what!
