We would certainly have the best midfield in the world if this happened. Vieira has a great passing range and his drive would help us out a lot going forward, something we have lacked recently in Turin. But yet again this seems too good to be true.

Being good on paper means absolutely nothing. Trezeguet has been good on paper for years but shite on the field. Camoranesi/Zebina aren't even good on paper.. and there's still no creative midfielder.

And don't forget we need more than just a first eleven to win the CL, we need a squad too.

imo ballack's a top drawer player, or should I say "was" a top drawer player. I haven't seen much of him recently so I don't know how he's going. Vieira had a pretty poor season last year overrall but came good at the end. I'd take either one to be honest though I'd rather have someone creative
