Regardless, the name of the team brings in the cash. Once the tickets are sold, they've got the cash...it doesn't mean that Felix Magath will say, "Oh let's not disappoint our fans here in Dubai, they paid $150. Bastian get in there, never mind the match against Schalke in two weeks!" The fans already paid; what are they going to do, protest?

They did that same thing in Toronto with the Roma coming here. It was bullshit.

no offense to anyone in Dubai, who would love to see Juve play live and in person, but our OBJECTIVE is getting the fuck out of Serie B, and as soon as possible !!!

useless tournaments do nothing but risk players to unwanted injuries, and playing extra games, not to mention extra travel, will only worsen our condition, in an already too long Serie B season

I'm all for a pre-season tournament in Dubai come July 2007 !!

Keeping the "end in mind"...I like that :agree:

Juve, play in Dubai in July is impossible. It would be waaaaaaaaaaay too hot!! You picked the worst month of the year :D Imagine Juve playing in 40 degrees Celsius. They'd all faint...

Right now the weather here, is in the early 20s Celsius. January would be even colder.

Hamburg and Stuttgart are coming to play friendlies here against the UAE national team. January 7th-10th I think. The German leagues usually have a generously lengthy winter break, as opposed to Serie A who have a week off. (EPL no break!)

Tickets are quite cheap. Converted from local currency, $10 and $20. Not bad at all.

Juventus here is still a dream, though...

Not really. Alot of teams come here during January, usually, since the weather is cool and sunny. Perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Last year I bumped into Craig Bellamy, Sinama Pongolle, David Bentley, Reserve Striker Jemal Johnson and the rest of the Blackburn Rovers football team. :toast:

I managed to take a pic of Craig Bellamy with my Nokia. He's the one in white looking down on his cellphone.

David Bentley (a young striker who scored a hat trick vs. Man United in the famous 4-3 victory last season) has his back to the camera, standing in front of Bellamy.

The big guy to the right is also a defender...Irish, I think, forgot his name.

There's also another player who Im not too familiar with, he's the one on the left who's face is barely showing.

Enjoy :D
