Juventus have completed the signing of left-back Federico Peluso from Atalanta for a fee of €4.8 million.

Peluso, 29, joined the Bianconeri on a six-month loan in January – a deal that included a view to a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

And Juve confirmed on their official website on Tuesday that the Italy international has done enough to earn himself a full-time switch, as well as a contract until June 2017.

The statement read: "Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces the exercising of the definitive acquisition right for the player Federico Peluso from Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio S.p.A. for a fee of 4.8 million euros that will be paid over two financial years.

“This acquisition will generate economic and financial effects starting from 1 July 2013. The employment contract signed by the player will last until 30 June 2017."

Peluso came through the youth ranks at Lazio, although he failed to make a first-team appearance for the Stadio Olimpico side.

The defender, who has won three caps for his country, went on to play for Pro Vercelli, Ternana and AlbinoLeffe, before joining Atalanta in 2009.
