Maybe this means we are selling Trez and/or Ibra.
But then we still have enough strikers if we sell just one of those two.
No need for this guy.

    Juve consider Maccarone move

Juventus are weighing up a move for Middlesbrough's Italian striker Massimo Maccarone, according to reports in the Italian media.

Despite persistent claims from the relegated Italian giant that no more of their stars will be allowed to leave the club, frontmen David Trezeguet and Zlatan Ibrahimovic continue to be linked with moves away from the Stadio Delle Alpi.

Livorno's forward Cristiano Lucarelli has been touted as a possible replacement in Turin, though the Tuscans insist the player is untransferable.

Bianconeri could be ready to offer Igor Tudor and Nicola Legrottaglie as an incentive to convince president Aldo Spinelli, but are considering other options as well.

Chievo's Carvalho de Oliveira Amauri is another man linked to the Old Lady, although he looks set to join Palermo, which is why Maccarone's name has come up.

The 26-year-old Galliate-born marksman has struggled to hold down a regular starting place throughout his time at The Riverside.

Juve are therefore rumoured to be considering signing the player on a season-long loan to help in their bid to win their way back out of Serie B in the coming season.

    lol Maccarone.

We have Trez, Ibra, DP, Bojinov, Palladino, Zalayeta, Sculli, Guzman, Volpato who are better than him. Maccarone was just lucky to hit those late goals last year with Boro in the UEFA Cup.

The 26-year-old, signed by Boro for £8.15m, was again on the fringes of the first team at the Riverside Stadium last year, although he did score some crucial goals in the Uefa Cup.

A season-long loan deal is being mooted in Italy, although that may not appeal to Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate, who will want Maccarone as an option up front after the departure of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

i think he could be useful in serie B.he's certainly not good enough for serie A imo,but if he can get crucial goals like he did for Boro last year, then id say its a good move.he might have been lucky when he got those goals, but hey,all strikers ride on luck.
