New Cafu snubbed Juve

Unconfirmed reports claim that Juventus failed in a January bid to sign a Brazilian defender dubbed the ‘New Cafu’.

Stories suggest that the Bianconeri offered Seville £3m for Daniel Alves but that was rejected by the Spaniards.

Alves, captain of the Under-20 Brazilian national side, was seen as a future replacement for the ageing Lilian Thuram.

The Turin giants could make a new approach in the summer but their chances of success are slim given the latest developments.

Since the alleged bid was tabled, the attacking right-back has extended his contract with the Liga club until 2008.


He's worth more that that IMO if that report is true wich I think is not. ;)

naa, he dint snub us, why wud an ustart say no to a team like Juve?

Its Seville who wanted no part of the deal, coz of what we're offering.

We merely didnt offer them enough dosh thats all, im sure he would come if we offered him enough.
