Juventus have already begun their renovation with the probable arrival of Udinese and Czech Republic star Marek Jankulovski.

The 26-year-old midfielder has long been a target for the Bianconeri, although they faced stiff competition from Inter and Lazio.

According to the latest reports a basic agreement has been thrashed out between director generals Luciano Moggi and Pierpaolo Marino.

Udinese would receive £5.5m cash, plus 50 per cent of Under-21 internationals Giuseppe Sculli and Andrea Gasbarroni.

Hitman Sculli is currently on loan with Chievo, while winger Gasbarroni is starring for Serie B leaders Palermo.

Jankulovski is set to hit the headlines with the Czech Republic at Euro 2004 and has already become a set-piece specialist in the Italian Championship.

Welcome to the forums fgm :D

I don't know that much about Janko, but he's been talked up a lot, and if he's anywhere near as good as i've heard he is, he'd be a great signing

Yeah, I guess Moggi and the Udine officials worked a plan out last saturday, suposedly. I am confident that Jank will be at Juve next season. Now add Mexes, Ferrari, Trabelsi, D'Alessandro and Ibrahimovic, and we will have an awesome team!

Actually I think Fresi could have done a better job than a lot of our defenders. He's playing v. well at the moment. Even though it's for a smaller club, the performances he's putting in are sure as heck better than most if not all of our defenders this season
