Never ever would Heldt sell Draxler for that sum. Not in a million years. Heldt has proven often enough, that u cannot lowball him and he is getting his wishes most of the times, like when he sold Gomez and Neuer to Bayern.
At Stuttgart, he rufused to sell Gomez even when Bayern were offering ridiculous money for him..they needed to wait until his buyout-clause kicked in.
At Schalke, he refused to sell Neuer to Bayern for several years..they needed to wait until his contract was just running for just one more year, but despite that, he made the best deal possible with Bayern paying over 30m€ in the end including all the bonuses like winning BL and CL.
When it comes to selling huge assets of the club, then Heldt is a fantastic manager. I could write an essay about him, but to be more short, he wants to do it like Porto r doing it when it comes to selling players. Being tough to negotiate and u have to pay a huge sum to prize away their assets. He wants to have a name as a tough negotiator and making Schalke strong through generating huge sums with highly talented Germans. Their team is full of youngsters with great potential and many of them could generate a lot of money in the future like Draxler, Meyer, Goretzka, Sane, Geis, Nastasic, Kolasinac, Avdijaj and so on. So this Draxler deal is crucial for them to get a name and reputation..thats why they inserted such a high clause of 45m€..thats why Heldt has never mentioned a sum at which they would be willing to sell. If they would ask for a sum below the clause, then it would mean that these clauses mean shit. So it was convenient for him, that Juve just offered a laughable amount of money so he didnt need to negotiate any further, but to just end the discussions.
BTW Schalke had an offer from Arsenal last winter of around 40m€, but they denied even Draxler being injured most of the times..they r in general not interested in selling their youngsters with huge potential, just if an extraordinary offer arrives.
This deal wont happen.
