Here is the thing about the Vidal sell. We already had to replace Tevez which was huge for us. We brought in 3 players at forward and only got 5 mil for the sale of Tevez. We spent 70ish on the players we brought in up top. So yes not all Vidals money can go to a midfielder and even if it could you dont just spend because you have a few dollars. He is not a clown and he is not contradicting himself. He is just someone who is trying to get the best deal possible. He pays lipservice to possible deal or no deal because he is waiting for a good enough offer, and if it doesnt come player wont go anywhere. If it was out of the realm impossible for him to leave this summer, he wouldnt need to talk so much. But essentially just talking to cover his bases, get as best deal as possible before its too close to the deadline, if it comes too late they wont sell. I think its a combination of the player being semi-keen on leaving, but only if the club can get a good deal for them, and that the club maybe realizes this summer might be the best chance they have to cash in on Draxler. In case he doesnt pan out for coming seasons.
