Marotta said it all yesterday, so why did he have to come out today and say it? He's looking like a complete idiot. He's bitter we just paid all that money for Sandro yet lowballed him.

Beppe himself in fact said that we haven't been in touch with Schalke and that there are too many impediments on that deal. Kind of corroborates what Heidt is saying here as well.

I'm actually convinced if Juventus wanted Draxler that bad he wouldv'e been in Turin by now. We clearly have the money, they're just hesitant to spend it on Draxler it seems.

You'd think we'd have the money after such favourable conditions that included a CL final and a 40m sale of a key player. Definitely, it's a question of the buying teams valuation against the selling team.

Fully agree with that. It's just business at the end of the day. I would only fault Beppe if this guy was our primary target and we are beati around the bush. If he isn't, then no harm done in letting the negotiation die its natural death as perhaps a smokescreen for a bigger player to take the attention away from that dealing.

Yea, and given that we have identified the player, then that's our problem. But I've had this strong feeling he's not the guy we are genuinely after.
