Schalke have reportedly turned down the first Juventus offer for Julian Draxler, set at €22m.
The Bundesliga club gave Juve permission to speak to Draxler and agree personal terms last week.
They are now negotiating to find a transfer fee for the 21-year-old creative midfielder.
According to a report from German paper Bild, Schalke chief Horst Heldt turned down the first written offer worth €22m.
It’s believed they want €30m for Draxler, but his record of injuries is a concern for the Bianconeri.
He has a contract with Schalke until June 2018.
The player already agreed terms with Juventus, a five-year contract worth €3.5m per season.
