But he was only 20yrs,this is also a factor.
I think he could have done much better statistically 14/15 season but got injured early, and that slowed him dand his progress.
I looked for comparison on the early years of Gotze and Reus vs Draxler,no HUGE differences actually:
all playing wingers who play AM from time to time.
and don't forget that both Reus and Gotze were on a better teams, that's also a factor imo.
Draxler:
11/12: 18yrs - 46Games:5G,9A first full season with first team
12/13: 19yrs - 39Games:13G,7A
13/14: 20yrs - 38Games:6G,10A
14/15: 21yrs - 19Games:2G.2A - missed about half a year with an injury.
Gotze:
10/11: 18yrs - 41Games:8G,16A first full season with first team
11/12: 19yrs - 26Games:7G,8A
12/13: 20yrs - 44Games:16G,20A
13/14: 21yrs - 45Games:15G,13A - Bayern
So yeah Gotze started to put numbers a year earlier but again on better teams, imo.
Reus:
07/08: 18yrs - not with the first team
08/09: 19yrs - 28Games:4G,3A first full season with first team
09/10: 20yrs - 35Games:8G,4A
10/11: 21yrs - 37Games:12G,10A
So Reus didn't really was amazing as well until 22yrs at 11/12 season and onwards, where his stats started to be WC.
So i think Draxler didn't breakthrough yet but he's young, and can definitely reach those numbers.
While staying healthy ofcourse.
Nothing guaranteed ofcourse, but for 20-25 it worth taking the risk imo, because he might be that WC level player.
