:howler:
We paid a million to an agent to get him here, why would you pay his agent to make him come here, with guarantees to play?!?! Must be because there was no competition.
There was some competition probably but it's not like Pogba had a wonderkid status and all top clubs were killing for him. Pogba was pretty much a noname with some potential before he came here. Even MU fans weren't crying much until one year later.

Anyways, all what we did was accelerate Pogba's route to greatness, with or without us he'd be up there regardless, kid has a solid head on his shoulders and has talent to back it.
To make it sound that we did anything more than that is ludicrous!

A million directly to raiola's pocket meant there HAD to be somewhat serious competition, I know we generous and all but still!!

You're the one being ludicrous. He would NOT have played at Man U so he would not have progressed anywhere near what he is or will be here. He knows that why don't you?

He was leaving because he wasn't playing......

Yes, you're right. Pogba should thank Lord Beppe for his Beppe given talents, cause Beppe knows that no one can curse who Beppe has blessed right?!

Who knows, the talent is there so probably he would be on top one way or another, but football players can easly lose their way around 20 years of age. Stranger things happened.

He most likely still would have been a massive player had he stayed at United (maybe with his break out season being a year or two later), but before he came here he was nothing more than a youngster with great potential, the type of which make the step up in maybe 30% of the cases.

Actually they let him leave because they didn't think he would play and wasn't worth it. To add a mismanaged young player can take a talented youth and destroy them it's happened many times

There's no denying that! But what gets to me that is how AC and sometimes others are so adamant to pin Pogba's success solely on the club. Pogba could've easily been a Gourcuff or a Taraabt, just as much as he could be a staple name for top midfielders like Scholes and pirlo have been for over a decade! All of that is solely on pogba and no else but him, it's all about the work you put it.

The management isn't the ones putting in time in the gym nor are they the ones on the pitch.

No but the staff, coaches etc, believed in him and placed a mentality in him to bring out the talent. Nurturing the skills within in the right way to help he become the best he could. Not stiffening it and hurting his growth. So yes. Juventus had a lot to do if not almost all of what he has become
