That's BS. We're not going to get Kaka or Riquelme and of course there are other people that can solve our problems. Our problems have more to do with tactics than personnel, all we need is a good passer with a bit of creativity to play next to our holding midfielder. Get someone like Sneijder, Rosicky, Pizarro or Carrick, cut out this long ball foolishness and we'll do well. Changes are necessary but not as drastic as some people think and we don't need a world-beating playmaker like Kaka, Aimar or Ronaldinho to win matches.
The thing is, we need either a playmaker (and a change of tactics), or we need two top wingers. Which do you think is more attainable?

Honestly, i think a classy playmaker is what we need .... we already have world class wingers... But, because of our stubborn coach, we keep playin with 4-4-2 formation which limits our wingers abilities in short-pass playmaking which most of the other successful teams use... Nedved can do the playmaking job, just as he used to do in Lippi's era, where Zambrotta used cover the whole left flank by himself.....
Viera----Emerson
Nedved
Joaqine----Trez----Del Piero

This can give Nedved a bit more room to create chances and will also allow Del piero to play as a supporter as well as an attacker....

We currently depend on Nedved's and Camo's flank-runs, which, as far as i'm concerned, are useless.... Plus Viera's long deep passes to Zlatan, who instead of chesting it down to his teammates, he chests it down for himself, and tries one of his useless tricks.... If we look at Tottenham for example, long balls are played from midfield to Mido and he, from the first touch, passes it to Robbie Kean, who creates all sorts of trouble to the opposing team....

If we wanna play long balls we gotta play 'em right .. or otherwise stick to the old short 1-2 passes..

With Capello more likely still here, then two top wingers is more attainable :p

I personally don't prefer to any kind of scheme (4-4-2 or anything). What is more important is how to maximise the 11 players ability to play as a team. the more important thing is how player move around the pitch, how they interact each other, how they pass the ball, how a midfielder help defender in defend their area, how a midfielder pass the ball to striker to create a chance, how a striker move with and without ball to create them self room to produce a chance...

the bottom line are players know their team mates well and manager know how to maximise their player.

I think we're more likely to sign two wingers than Kaka or someone of that ilk. Personally I want Mancini and Sneijder.

Sneijder is not a winger though, nor would I classify him as a playmaker.
Neddy wasnt a classic playmaker or winger....he did well though.

If we have a all out right winger, which seems likely, someone like sneijder would be a brilliant foil for the other flank.

Sneijder would be a great purchase, imho he could be the neddy replacement we need.

I think sneijder is a great proposal too, but I do not see the reason to buy him AND C.Ronaldo at the same time. And as much as I like Sneijder and as much as I hate MAN. UNT. i have to admit that C.Ronaldo is the best promising youngster for US.

people come on; those tactics are worthless. You cannot make some 'tactic' with half a dozen new players for after all we won't make such a radical change to our team. Stop saying we will buy Joaquin, Ronaldo, Gallas, Gerrard, Riquelme, aso. We will (if ever) buy 1 of those people. We are not something like fucking real who just buys (or used to buy) the 11 most-paid players in the world and put them together somehow...
We have a good team with some brillant players; all we got to do are detailed adjustments. We have to find adequate replacement for those leaving and maybe change 1 or 2 positions in order to play somewaht different but stop making those "dream-Football"-Tactics

Lets face it, if we win the league then we certainly wont buy as many players as mentioned earliar. I see a maximum of 4-5 players coming thats all. We have already got Marchionni, Zanetti, and possibly Antonioli. That means we will bring in someone in defense and possibly if lucky a playmaker.. and jobs done, to ask for more is really stretching moggis capacity of growing some hair.

I miss the days when we had Del Piero in top form, Zidane and Davids on the midfield. And Inzaghi to tap in easy goals, hehe.

 true, but somehow i prefer the days before that, we almost became a little too reliant on Zizou and DP, with davids getting sent off in the big games.. the days prior to that with Rava, Viali, Jugo, Torri, Di livio.. was just brilliant.

No man, trust me, Sneijder is really an average player.

we're talking about wingers.and i honestly see no harm in buying christiano ronaldo.his attitude is below par,but wrong attitudes do not lead to poor players everytime.he could do great,if handled properly.and as far as his attitude is concerned,i think the major concern is with him being a diver.his temper isnt half as explosive as that of cassano or zlatan.
