if we get him, I hope he plays for Argentina... higher chance of winning international laurels (than if he played for Paraguay) and will get a lot of publicity too if he can do well.

Yea, Italy is not an option, he's not handsome enough like Mauro. Nor does he have a soulpatch and sexy ponytail.

He's 2 inches taller than Giovinco, is a much better dribbler, has a better shot, he's quite muscular and doesn't get tossed around, and so on.
Okay, I was genuinely curious, because they seem identical. I did notice, like you said, that he is quite muscular and he does have good ball control. But a better dribbler? Hes fast but from the highlights (I know, I know) he doesn't look like hes got great ball control.

I didn't know that he was eligible for Italy... but then where would Berardi play, aren't they both left-footed inside forwards?
Iturbe is more of a winger, albeit one who plays on the opposite side. I see Berardi much more as a SS/striker, he's a good finisher, has great movement and positioning and a good shot.

Berardi-Llorente/Tevez-Iturbe could work very well I think.

I'm sure Iturbe could play on the left and Berardi on the right, Iturbe can cross with his left from what I've seen.

agree about Berardi but I haven't seen much of Iturbe except from highlights when he's either attacking on right or central. from that I think he'll be wasted on the left, if not rightwing then I rather tequartista than left wing.

Right is his main position, he is extremely left footed and is all about cutting in with his preferred foot. He roams a bit, but his most dangerous starting position is right winger.

Marotta, sell Quagliarella to Torino. Take that money, add it to whatever cash amount were offering right now for Iturbe and bingo.

He's an excellent dribbler. If you watched more than a few highlights you would see this. This is what he's known for, his pace, his acceleration, his dribbling, his shot. He's got a decent crossing ability as well. His weakness is more so in decision making, although this is the case with almost every 20 yr old, and as they grow more experienced that improves, plus it isn't as bad as some members are making it out to be.

Iturbe is built like Messi. Similar height, very muscular, low centre of gravity, powerful on his feet. So he is taller, and vastly stronger than Giovinco, and does not get muscled over in and around the box.

Plus, Giovinco, isn't an example of someone we all could predict would flop. He was very good the two seasons prior to coming here. No one could have predicted with any certainty that he would fail here, especially if we had continued with a 4-3-3 with him playing wide. Asking a player of his physicality to play in the centre in a two man system and to challenge big defenders physically is one of the main reasons why he has been so mediocre. If we are actually attempting to use formations with attacking wingers, I would imagine that he could do very well for is playing opposite Iturbe and with Llorente/Tevez in the centre.

I wrote it the complete opposite to what I was thinking about right and left. :sergio:

I edited the post.

Got it :D

Yeah he would be kinda wasted on the left prolly, hard for players like him to dribble when they become so predictable and are all about their strongest foot.
