I hope we get him but 20-25 million is a lot to pay for an unproven youngster. Will he realistically be able to take us to the next level any time soon? I doubt so as he still has to develop a lot more. I dont think we are in a position to take such a gamble. 20-25 million could be spent on a more proven player that would instantly add to the team.

Berardi, Iturbe, Pogba, Coman, Rugani, Sturaro.
We have select a lot of talents for future. With Iturbe, Berardi & Paul i can see a great future for our team.
Unfortunately, Leali proved not so good.

25 mill is a bit much for Iturbe in my opinion especially that we let immobile (a young italian striker that finished as the league's top scorer) go for only 20 mills. I'd rather save the cash for later on maybe Lavezzi, Jovetic or someone of that mould is free.

How much was Griezman's release clause and how much is he currently earning in salary?

Leali hasn't shown enough to judge him yet. Really hoping Cesena do take him on loan, that'll be where we can actually see if he's got any quality.

He was not that good in Serie B, so i guess if he doesn't prove himself this year, he will be leave.
For me, Perin has the more potential. Scuffet will be judged after the new year, with 38 games on his feet.

Everyone is bashing Secco for paying 25mln for Amauri/Melo/Diego but if this guy will cost 25 or 28 it will be the very same thing. Gigantic money for an unproven player who may or may not live up to the expectations. I see no reason for :tuttosport:.
Exactly. The double standards applied here is just :lol2:

Everyone is bashing on Marotta for buying 15M players. Saying they're shit, mediocre, blabla.

Do you know that quality proven class players are ridiculously priced right now? Fucking Shaw and Lallana sold for 60M pounds. The market is just stupid.

You have to spend big on promising talent nowadays. Do you want to spend 25M on Iturbe or 15M on Ibarbo?

People focus far too much on the final fee, rather than the structure of the payment. For example we received €8m in one payment for Immobile, the same as we did €7.5m for Giaccherini.

with zero re-sale value and sky high wages...
i loved the tevez deal but we can´t do this all the time tbh ^^.
he was exactly what we needed last year but if we keep buying players like him we will be milan in 3-4 years from now :D

Why are ppl so upset with the price ? Think of it as an INVESTMENT on a potential star.
If not, suggest a player who'd cost 20-22m and would come with the same wages as Iturbe(~1.5m a yr)
Id definitely like to hear suggestions, not just uselessly moaning.

We aren't a team that buys for re-sale value though. Although I agree that Tevez was just a one in a hundred transfer.
Resale value in present circumstances is needed for this club cos we arent generating revenue as much as other top clubs.
Like it or not,it would be our situation atleast for the next 2 yrs esp. considering the state
of the league.

The only names I heard so far are Jovetic and Lavezzi. The first earns shitload of money for sitting in a wheelchair and the other is that good even Blanc prefers to play Cavani on the wing instead of him. Oh and brainless Lucas seems to be more rated too.

In fact both didn't do anything relevant for ages and earn skyhigh wages.

I agree, but he has to do well, regardless. Any kind of fee spent in this range is clearly a risk for us as a club, but at some point if you want quality young players you normally have to pay for them. It remains to be seen just how quality he is.
