In that video Iturbe looks good, but I can't help but think he looks like a Krasic with more dribbling technique. How many times did Milos run and run only to miss the chance he created for himself? On the plus side though it looks like Iturbe likes an assist as much as a goal. Team work

And agree about Luca Toni
u really comparing his style to krasic? u really see strong similarities with krasic?

Krasic? Really?

Perhaps if Krasic could actually shoot, could actually pass and could really do anything other than run in a straight line and occasionally get lucky with a cross or a weak shot.

This kid is twice the dribbler. He has twice the shot from distance. He's got excellent free kick technique for a 21 yr old. His passing is superb. His finishing could be worked on, but he still scored 8 goals last season as a 20 yr old. And his decision making could be improved at times, but it is still 10x better than the brainlessness that Krasic was the personification of.
:agree:

Krasic was the most 1 dimensional player ever, all he could do was run in a straight line at some pace

Mind you, we actually miss having people who can do that, being the slowest team in Europe and all.

the "whole" thing:

Mandorlini: Iturbe a Formula 1 car

Verona Coach Andrea Mandorlini has eulogised Juan Manuel Iturbe, comparing the prospective Juventus signing to a Formula 1 car.
The 21-year-old is increasingly speculated as set to sign off on a transfer from the Gialloblu to the Bianconeri this week.
Whilst it means he won’t be able to work with him for next year, his current Coach has backed Iturbe to more than make the grade in Turin.
“Is he the strongest I have coached? Yes, for pure technique and also for his physical capacity,” Mandorlini has told Tuttosport today.
“Perhaps it is not easy to notice, if you do not work with him every day, but Iturbe is a Formula 1 car.
“He does not let up, he recovers quickly from physical exertion, he can shoot and has endurance. He can control the ball, but he is also a supreme athlete.
“Certainly he can get to the level of the greatest - he has everything he needs to grow again and to become one of the top five or six players out there.
“Iturbe is ready to export elsewhere what he has been seen in Verona.”
The suggestion is that Iturbe’s signing opens the door to Antonio Conte changing Juventus’ formation to a 4-3-3.
“I believe he is ideal for a trident attach, whilst he would have no issue moving in tandem with another player.
“He would of course have to make some changes to his movement, but he has the insight and intelligence to make the right decisions.
“Would he work well with Carlos Tevez or be mismatched? I do not know, in the sense that it is for Antonio Conte to address that issue, rather than myself.
“If I have to give an opinion as an outside observer, I would not see them as at all bad together.
“But…how about an attack with the two South Americans and Fernando Llorente too. That would be a trident to fear…”
"Like Rocky", "Like a Chameleon" …this is another good one

 That must be the worst comparison in years. Krasic can dream about Iturbe's amazing first touch, ball control, and sprinting with the ball at his feet. Every time the Serbian touched the ball, that skipped 3 meters away. With Iturbe it's actually the opposite, but feel free to compare them only because he's fast (only good characteristic Krasic's ever had... Like if he's only the fast player of the world). And has amazing passing, crossing and finish (he must learn to be more selfish, passes the ball too much even to guys in a worse position when he can shoot). Who's followed Serie A and his amazing goals this year knows his finishing.

Conte will work on him. He got the best out of Vidal, Pogba, Barzagli and others. He'll manage him well.

nah, krasic was so predictable in his runs, he would always take it to the outside of his player and try and drive in an aimless cross. That is why krasic ended up failing so badly, far too predictable. Iturbe is far less predictable, especially as he cuts inside

:agree:  Also because there's not much to work on him. The guy's already on the right way. Just convince him to search more for the goal, cause when he wants he scores as hell. It's not like if he does not score, as a RW at 20 yo in an average club, in a new league, 8 goals are not few, but can score a lot more in a bigger club and with a right attitude. Assists, well, those are already there. He's already a "half" top player, with his talent. With a manager like Conte he can definitely explode.

That's what happening dude. We're getting players that will help us to transition from 352 to some other system most probably 4321/433. Names don't guarantee you success. We need a new game plan that's what Conte is thinking and he's getting players he sees as the ones who can give him this option. We're not after names anymore but concrete characteristics.
What i agree is that is time for us to be looking at mr unknowns who can upgrde our team, instead of relying on Marotta to try signing the Van persies and Dimarias of the wolrd. Its pretty celar we are waay past that time when we could sign the best of the best. Now, our scouts have to actually do their job instead of sleeping in their laurels.
