he's almost 35, coming back from an injury, on an expiring contract. his time is clearly up, let's hope he can still prove to be useful on a few occasions. i'd still start him over mckennie if he was fully fit :boh:

He's well past his prime and shouldn't be renewed.

But he is an absolute class act. Love him. Mostly really good performance tonight. Lots of good passes and dribbles.

Yup, clearly the best option atm, considering our dire financial situation.
Yes it will be very difficult to find someone with his qualities. Having that said, we shouldn’t forget his horrible form last 1,5 years, but a minor role maybe sharing his position with Barbieri or another NexGen player might be the best solution. Especially if he’s willing to earn a bit less.

He is too old for the position Allegri played him in yesterday. He cant run the whole flank like he used to. You could see it in the way that he would turn back and pass instead of taking on his man.
