I am borrowing that one. I am also going to use Couscous and steal skinny legs from Cronios.

I am not sure he can defend well enough, but our options on RB are terrible so I am willing to give him a chance.

The last chance is really hard to defend against by the way. Not really his fault.
That was a total brain fart but Lichtsteiner has done at least 2 of those this year.
our other options are far from great, not disagreeing, but id still not use Cuadrado there. Allegri even moved out Mandzukic to the right side to give him extra protection, and only played him there when we needed a goal desperately so we went all out attack, which is why i dont see him use Cuads there in important games (unless its a similar situation like tonight). we better sign someone in January, Meunier didnt play a single minute again and our scouts watched him vs Bosnia, maybe thats an opportunity for us

And why Cuadrado cannot be teached to learn RB?. He has some idea of defending, he is very fast, has great stamina. He can try and emulate what Alves did in that position with a more conservative approach.

I would prefer someone like him there...than having a near-retire Licht and Barza getting skinned by the Mbappes of the world. Or worst, stuart little.

That way we can free the RW spot for someone like Bernardeschi who has more footbal and assist in him than Cuadrado...and most important... is a leftie who knows how to score.

We solve 2 problems in one go. Really.-

This so much. I hope somehow Allegri reads this thread and finds out.

Dont think Allegri is going to use him there either, but could be interesting to see given the alternatives.

Meunier would be great. I seriously doubt that PSG would be willing to sell given Alves age and tendencies to throw tantrums.

I've been saying this since the start of the summer. He is closer to Dani Alves in style and abilities than any other player we have. I love the guy but his end product is garbage. He'll be much more effective driving the ball forward along the flanks and pulling the opposition out of shape.

Cuadrado at RB should only be an option when we are desperately chasing a goal, so much so that we are willing to compromise on defense, or possibly against very small teams who will just park the bus.

He can't be any worse than Sturaro. At least Cuadrado has some attributes of an attacking full back

meh. I wouldn't be against him getting a shot when we are ahead or against a small team. Still not sure he has the discipline required to be relied on as a defender in important matches though

Cuadrado, when in form, is basically essential for our 4-4-2. We don't have another RM that can compensate for 2 strikers marauding up front. Can Berna or Costa track back the way he does? There's no chance.

His best position is still wing back. Something like the 3-4-2-1 we had off an on last year fits him the best. Like others, I'm terrified of him at the back post. I'm terrified of him having to slot in beside Chiellini when Benatia gets caught in midfield. It's just such a commitment to play RB in a 4 man line. You have to be drilled constantly just to push up at the same time as Chiellini, for example. I could see it being a huge disaster.

But for sure if we're chasing the game go ahead and put him there and take the safety off.

The think is MikeM... that cuadrado doesnt bring enough most of the time. So instead of having someone that just offers workload and random chances as RW, what about trying someone there who is talentted enough to create constantly?, even when that person is not necessary a workhorse?.

Current cuadrado maybe will not do the RB job properly, but thats why he can be taught to. I mean.. if allegri is eager enough to try someone as unskilled as sturaro.. for sure cuadrado can try it too.

I think this Juventus has grown way too accustomed to cuadrado, when in fact we can function with more skilled players in his position and doing adjustment. We will lose some hardwork, but who cares if we lose some running if we win goals and assists. The ultimate purpouse is to win and score... an with him, i just see that we struggle and our forwards are starved of chances and ideas.-

Sure, there are serious limitations to deploying him as a RB, but given our other options, it's worth a shot. Anything is better than seeing the Accidental Footballer on the pitch. Heck, I even get nervous seeing that doofus in the stands.

Absolute garbage so far!
He delay our attacking play every fucking time with a backpass or a pass wide. The moments that he dribble forwards he lose 80% the ball or he dribbles forwards and play a backpass. Crosses without any idea behind it. It is not fucking good enough! Play Douglas Costa or Bernardeschi, way more profitable in forward play.

I recall the same argument against cuadrado when he first came.

One thing is sure, even our players underestimate his pace. I counted at least five times yesterday where he made a run and the pass was a yard or so behind him.
