Even though I rate Cavani highly, I still suspect Napoli will come out strengthened after this mercato. Once you get the chance to cash in like that, they can start focusing on adding both depth and quality in every area which they haven't always had. I don't consider Benitez to be as terrible as most on here seem to think and I still consider Napoli our main rival for the scudetto next season.
They're in for Higuain AND Damiao according to some reports.

Napoli is the most unpredictable side for me next year. Not only do they lose Cavani but they lost their coach. You can say what you want about Mazzari, but he had a style of play ingrained in their heads for years and they built up slowly and smartly into that system. They basically maxed out their capabilities with chemistry, desire and talent.

Now who knows? Everything is different. Formation, coach, players, talent.

When I see a team like Napoli, where you can't question their heart or determination and on top of it you add Cavani, and still they were no challenge for us - it's hard to believe they will be better next year.

How can you improve on 3-4 years worth of chemistry built up with talented, driven players? It will be so hard to do.

Like Tévez AND Jovetić to Juve? :D
Was my reading of the situation off? Be honest. Are you trying to tell me we weren't in for JoJo after signing Tevez? I never said we'd buy him at 30m. 15-18m plus player's, and we were in for the guy till someone else paid crazy money. Salva. I almost had you. You know it. :D

I've offered the player an extension but he won't sign because his agent :D

He also said he will get someone better than Zuniga.

Yeah, I don't see how anyone can make firm predictions about Napoli at this point.

It's entirely possible that they will have the second best team/squad in Serie A by the end of the mercato, but I would still find it hard to place them.

I think the start of the season is key for them: start well and convince themselves they can win without Cavani and they could do well; start poorly and they could struggle for a EL place.
