I think they will. Zuniga would pretty much complete our squad and give us great options on the flanks. As a direct contender for the scudetto, I'm pretty damn sure ADL wouldn't like us to have such a luxury.

Napoli reveal transfer budget
By Football Italia staff

Napoli have €124.5m at their disposal for new players, club President Aurelio De Laurentiis has claimed.

The Azzurri chief made the revelation this morning after taking part in a Q&A session on social network Twitter.

The Stadio San Paolo outfit have money to spend after they sold Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint-Germain for over €60m.

“If we add that €64.5m to the €60m that we had in our budget already then we get €124.5m that Napoli will invest with diligence and experience,” he noted.

Replacing Cavani is now a top priority and De Laurentiis confirmed that Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain and Leandro Damiao of Internacional are targets.

“It’s true, we are in negotiations with Higuain and Damiao,” he added.

He also confirmed that Spanish international Raul Albiol, Real Madrid’s 27-year-old defender, is close to a move to Naples.

“Raul Albiol is having his medical,” ADL added. “Let us hope that he passes it.”

De Laurentiis added that Napoli’s new strip and club anthem will be unveiled on July 29 ahead of a friendly with Galatasaray.

How in the world does Nipples FC have a starting transfer budget of 60m? Not even we have that much.

maybe ADL is putting his own money in :boh: maybe they still have some money from Lavezzi left too.

They could definitely put a very strong team together, but Benitez won't be good enough imo

125mil and decent wages, dont replace a cavani.

They'll be weaker. Even if they somehow manage Higuain, they lack the proper feed. The team was build for cavani.

They don't spend much of wages either, 53,2 million a year. Milan is spending 120 million but still finished below them in the table.

Milan had a transition season.

second half of the season they got the most points f any team.
Make no mistake, balotelli can become better then cavani, and if dat cunt allegri can get el sharaawi and balo to work, they'll place well above napoli.
Giving enough referree favors, they might even challenge us

if napoli are willing to give better wages than other clubs they will get good players, but wc players will never go there exept for redicoulus wages, and napoli wont do that. their status is rising and hopefully they wont reach cl nexy year. i have faith in benitez to bring napoli back down to midtable where they belong.

Even though I rate Cavani highly, I still suspect Napoli will come out strengthened after this mercato. Once you get the chance to cash in like that, they can start focusing on adding both depth and quality in every area which they haven't always had. I don't consider Benitez to be as terrible as most on here seem to think and I still consider Napoli our main rival for the scudetto next season.
