Hopefully they take it slow with his recovery. Don't rush him back. That way, in January we can use him as the fabled "new signing" as Tutor finally realizes Kelly sucks. Then hopefully Tutor is gone so the next manager can realize Cabal sucks as well.

Sounds like they never watched Cabal play, he felt forced even as a defensive LB, how could one suggest him as wingback is beyond me…

He is built for CB, even more so for LCB type role in a back three.

Neither kalulu or cabal should be playing wingback lol. Cabal is actually a perfect fit for a LCB in a 3 man backline. I think Kelly has been solid, but Cabal can push him for minutes if fit.

Kelly isnt gonna lose his spot until he gives Tudor a reason to. But depth is good and Cabal can push him. Personally I rate Cabal more than Kelly, but Kelly has been good under Tudor.

Compared to Kelly, in what departments does he have an advantage? I hope he can do better in positioning and closing down on attackers, aka a better defender than Kelly lol. Also Tudor likes to play Kelly high up the pitch in pressing and build-up phase. Does Cabal fit that role?

From what I remember he wasn't better than Kelly at much.

He was more athletic and maybe offered more of an attacking threat but that's it.

Cabal is more physical than Kelly and better on ground duels. I also think hes a better long range passer and crosser.
