I dunno, he’s clearly raw and nowhere near the finished product, but at least he attacks the ball, tries to actually move forward and or overlap. Has a few clumsy moments for sure but I see some potential. Better him than some boring grunt like Savona.

For me the thing that he needs to work on most is his positional awareness and discipline. 4th goal I think he ran out to block, which is good but Kalulu was already doing that.

Another couple of times he lost possession with a bad pass and then chased the ball to win it back. Understandable instinct but no. You get back in your position and let the structure work as its been set up.

That said, probably agree that this was his best game yet.

I think that's the relational play between the players. Motta is asking for fluid play and that requires very good understanding and relations between players that simply isn't there yet

Got done by the exact same trick by Zhegrova twice in the same game. The second time he actually managed to tug him down. 13 million for a player who’s ceiling is back up left back feels like a lot with our current finances.
