We Can Beat Roma - Andrade

Juventus' currently injured defender Jorge Andrade talked about his condition and Juve's chances of beating Roma to second place in Serie A.

He was one of the big summer purchases of Juventus last summer. Unfortunately he has not seen much of the football pitch. No, we're not talking about Tiago or Sergio Almiron.

Former Deportivo La Coruña defender Jorge Andrade was badly injured to his knee cap right at the start of his adventure with the Bianconeri.

Most probably he will be able to get back in time to make a few fleeting appearences in Juve's last league games, but for now the most he can do is give his team mates moral support.

Today he talked about his injury and Juve's objectives for the remainder of the season to Sky.

"Injuries are a part of a footballer's life," the Portuguese international said.

"Now I'm doing fine. I'm doing everything I can to be back soon. My objective is to be doing well before the end of the season and to play some matches. For now I'm supporting my team mates, who have been doing very well.

"I think [defender Nicola] Legrottaglie has been doing very well since my injury. He's been playing a great season largely because of my injury."

On Juve's chances to reach second place: "We'll see, I think we can win against Roma [in next weekend's match]. I expect a victory."

You can't say he's injury prone, he got injured only once the whole season. Camoranesi has been injured at least three times.

It was a huge injury though, he has been out for 4 - 5 months so far. He had this problem at Deportivo as well, and had only just recovered for the final few games if I am not mistaken?

I hope he actually can stay fit for a whole season though, whether it be here or at a different club. I get the impression that the lack of matches played is affecting his performances though.

Yeah just once but he missed 70% of the season. He`s not worth all that money if he misses that much. And not just in Juve we knew before that he was injury prone.
We should get Ferrari to replace him since he`s free so we could save some money.
As for Camo I am really confused what`s going on with him.Like he`s made of glass this season. This is really bad for us.We should get decent sub for him this summer.

So we should keep him?For what?He plays only 30% of our matches and remember his wages are not that little. We will probably lose few millions but oh well...I like him but he`s not worth of it.

Andrade was not injury prone before, he had an unfortunate injury about 2 seasons ago I think, which caused the problem he has now. It was against Barca and it was the reason Barca didn't buy him, coz they gave him a serious injury that they feel will give him problems (which is now proven).

I'm aganinst selling Andrade at the end of the season, he did not have enough matches to prove his ability.

With next season's squad expected to be a younger team than the current one, Andrade is one of the few experienced and cool heads we can call upon.

Andrade has had two major injuries in the past few years. But still, he's not like bag-o-glass Marchionni, who seems to get a new injury every few weeks that keeps him out until the next one comes up.

Give our dicey backline and Andrade's cool head and leadership abilities, I'd like to see him stick around longer.

give him a chance, he never got the time to adapt, if worst comes to worst we can sell him if not he isnt a bad second or third option, he is experienced.
