We're going to terminate his contract on Monday it seems. :D

Greece his next destination most likely. They need to pay him 2.5mln/year

AEK or Panathinaikos are the clubs mentioned.
Who's gonna pay him 2.5m eur?

His contract expires next summer so whoever buys him won't be paying him 2.5m eur a year as Juve did.
But for this particular season we might come to an agreement to let him leave without a transfer fee and give him part of his wages (not all of them because it won't make any sense).

On second thought...if we terminate his contract we don't pay taxes right? So instead of paying close to 5m eur for his wages (including taxes) we can only pay him his 2.5m eur and let him go.

Is this how it goes?

Quite possibly.

Add to that that Juve probably wouldn't have to pay the full 2.5m salary to get rid of him, if he has a new club lined up already.

they cant afford it.

especially the AEK rumour is laughable
He's not gonna get 2.5m eur a year from his new club. Not even close.
But it will indeed be better for him if he looks for a club this summer instead of waiting for his contract with Juve to end next summer. He's 32 and he can still sign an acceptable 2 year contract. Next year he'll be 33 and he'll find it much harder to find a club, especially if he doesn't get any playing time with Juve this year.

That's the best option. Juve to terminate his contract, pay him his remaining wages, partly or fully, and Zebina to be a free agent and look for a new club.

i know man.

i just cant believe the rumour about the greek clubs.
aek can offer AT MOST 750/800K per season and Pana has already 3-4 RBs in the squad...and it's certain that they dont want to waste money(~1,5mln??) on a 32year injury-prone brainless defenders.
