Maybe some exaggeration, but i have to say he's looked pretty unimpressive so far (I dont care about tap-in goals).
He can't with his back against the goal. He isn't even much of a threat in the air either. I reckon he's good getting runs behind the defense at some point, but we're playing against packed defenses most of the time. To me, he seems more like a SS in 2 man partnership than a #9 in a 3 man front line.
I agree and disagree.
1. He scored a beauty.
2. He gets into shots before the defender blocks him unlike Vlahovic for example.
3. He integrate well in a team move - This is his biggest strength BTW.
4. He did miss some sitters and not exactly the lethal finisher even if tap ins are important too as it show he positioning himself into good opportunities.
Overall he is a good no` 9 but definitely not the elite level.
As for Vlahovic - I think because of these 2 goals people are overreacting - He has yet to show any promises, he scores goals? He scored also in the past yet we were disappointed in him.
The truth is he is a player who is strong but has some major weaknesses and until he works on them Vlahovic shouldn`t be in our starting 11.
Its good we have competition though.
BTW Is it only me or do you also see a resemblance in partnership of Openda - Sesko -> Openda Vlahovic?
