Welcome, think the overall deal is very much a ‘bargain’ for a 24yo who has a transfermarkt value of €45M, then for the wages he is getting we do seem to be planning on using him as a starter so i just hope he actually proves his worth here and delivers good numbers, otherwise i guess there should still be a market for him and will continue to hold decent resell value for the foreseeable future if we plan to move him on.

The wages will be too steep to be able to sell later if he flops, so that’s the risk.

Here’s hoping for the best, and it can’t be any worse than the last two forwards we’ve bought.

His wages aren’t the cheapest but definitely not all that exaggerated either for a 24yo striker with his current market value, qualities, experience, availability and marketing potential…

Although i agree that we probably could’ve tried to work towards slightly lower wages we do have to factor in him being a free agent and the need to get it done sooner, ultimately the rumored €6m per year don’t think it’ll be that big of an impediment unless he suddenly becomes injury prone or completely flops beyond salvage.
