Ok enough with the negativity, now that he is already here let’s look at some of the positives too, most important aspect i can point out is that he barely has an injury history, almost inexistent to my surprise, then him also coming as a free agent is still better than overpaying on a transfer fee, especially if the agents commissions aren’t over the roof, marketing wise could be useful too if he actually performs…

That’s all i got so far because i hardly ever watched him so not sure what to really expect, from youtube clips he seems like he could be an useful player for us but not really much of a game changer either.

When Juve signed some random guy called Del Piero, most of the Tuzzers were babies back then, crying a lot.

But Amer, why are you comparing Del Piero situation to David, you ask?

Well because you are not babies any more, so you should stop crying for fuck sake!

Why get worked up over a free transfer for a young goalscorer who did well in Ligue 1 and the CL? Lille isn’t PSG, but his numbers were great: 4th in goal contributions across the top 5 leagues with 47, just behind Salah, Kane, and Mbappé.

Yeah, given our recent Dusan experience and current mess, it’s fair to be skeptical. But Napoli were after him too and we all know how their last Lille striker turned out (not saying he’s Osimhen, but still). For a free transfer with resale potential and North American appeal, it’s good business and could actually improve what we have now. I’ve seen Canadian media losing it over him picking Juve over Napoli « because we’re the bigger club » and complaining about his agent’s demands.

With the chaos around us and no defensive fixes yet, David will feel unnecessary, until he starts delivering and winning people over.
