oops

short summary: johnny boy is fed up with toli, might fire him in june. bad results, bad investments, bad sales (hg players highlited), overall bad management require a change

:numnum:

If this true, I expect us to be linked to Sartori. Rebuild Atalanta and Bologna with good scouting.

But my main wish would be Luis Campos. @Firestarter would know why. But odds of him leaving super rich PSG he rebuild with lots of quality young core, for barebones Juve, is slim.

yeah that's a solid shout — he did a great job at lille too. funnily enough he was sporting director at both p$g and celta vigo simultaneously but has since left the later to focus solely on the job in paris

I dont know. Luis Campos gives me Monchi vibes. Everyone here knows Monchi i presume? He is at Villa now. Why dont we just go for him then but he failed at Roma, thats why? Couple of years ago Monchi was bigged up so much and he obv was behind those Sevilla Europa League dominations. Roma is not easy place to work but what was he supposed to even achieve there? He was there less than 2 years. Now he has been at Villa since 2023 summer. But its still Villa. Why isnt he at Barca or Arsenal or Milan or such. Noone is expecting Villa to become a regular top 4 side. They have smth going on there but its not like Man city or Newcastle situation where they have unlimited amount of money and just buy their way to success eventually. And Villa have been smart in the transfer market last 2-3 years. But again, its still just Villa. I dont really think we can say like, 3-4 more years and they will be winning big trophies there.

The hate towards Elkann/ownership just doesnt make much sense to me. Hes not in charge of signing players, coaching, or playing. When it was apparent they needed a real sporting director he hired the one that just won a scudetto. When it was apparent they needed a coach he signed off on the hot young name and ate money on Allegri’s contract. Now he signed off on canning Motta before he finished his first season. Has he blocked any moves? Seems he lets his employees do their jobs.

Hes not much different than Agnelli, the guy the majority want back who also got a lot of undeserved shit while he was in charge. The only difference is Agnelli seems to enjoy the sport a lot more. But you dont necessarily need your owner to be hands on to be succesful. Just my opinion, and would still love Agnelli back.

i mean it could be worst than winning the europa league 7 times and overseeing provincial roma to the ucl semi-finals

Cristiano Giuntoli and Maurizio Scanavino are at risk of being fired, as revealed.Elkann is not happy with the financial and technical management. From Alcaraz to Kelly, Giuntoli's work is judged negative.Awaiting the latest data on the budget where the UCL qualification will weigh. For this reason, Juventus has begun to probe the management market: exploratory contacts with Massara and Salihamidzic in case of Giuntoli’s debacle.Salihamidzic is esteemed as a former Juventus player and has already had a managerial career at high levels such as Bayern.(Nick Semeraro)

I think that Roma thing is a bit of a fluke. Granted he did great things with Sevilla. And even at Villa. They got top 4 and now could even get semis of CL if knock PSG out.

And that is exactly my point. Roma will be fine with semi of CL (heck we would be fine with that right now). Villa likewise, have gone from midtable to CL quarters but the game is also about winning. Monchi is not expected to deliver CLs and scudettos with Roma overall. But why does he keep moving sideways almost. We could even argu Sevilla are a bigger side than Villa. Do you expect Villa to win EPL next 4-5 years? I dont.

So all in all:

Roma 4/5 team in serie a
Sevilla 4/5 team in la liga
Villa now near 4-6 in epl

But thats how its going to be? That would have been like Marotta going from Sampdoria 4th place to Villarreal in Spain. Isnt Monchi supposed to make the next step?
