At this point, considering the prices and the relatively small difference in what they would bring, I'd take Menez over Lamela.

Think about long term my boy.Lamela has a really high ceiling in compared to Menez. If developed properly he can be the Argentinian Cristiano Ronaldo. Before you all laugh at me there are some striking similarities between the two.( especially when CR was at his age)

Yeah, long term is essentially why you pay big money for a player like Lamela. In the current market you pay the money and take the risk, if you have it.

PSG told his agent he can leave if someone pays them 2 million euro's. We're thinking about it according to La Stampa.
Two things to take into consideration.

We're way ahead in Serie A at the moment (not to say we already won it basically) and we're out of CL. Would we be able to use Menez much to benefit us till June? I don't think so and that's mainly because we don't have other wingers to get 4-3-3 under way (there's literally only Mirko who'd carry the left side, but that would also mean Llorente staying on the bench). We'd spend 2 million euros and his wages just to have him settled (which, again, is not a huge issue considering he knows the language and Italian football well). Is it worth it? Not really.

On the other hand, ignoring all the facts about our current standing and formation dis-order, having a player like Menez would be great especially for that low price. He can offer many things none of our other players can. He's an effective winger who knows how to cut inside, cross, score and provide useful assists and through balls. He can also cover wing, play behind the striker and even play as a side striker (where he wasn't bad at all). It would be great to see his offensive side when he players like Vidal, Pogba and Tevez around him, I believe it would be a joy to see them ticking. He has negative sides as well, like being selfish and playing for himself (which is again not always the case and I think Conte is the coach to take him under his wing. Don't forget that he showed quality football under Ranieri who, if anything, had the right discipline among players). But considering all that he's well worth that amount of money.

Ideal would be to have him secured for the summer for free but if that's not possible due to tough(er) competition in the summer then I say bring him in. He'll deliver.

Bring him in the summer for nothing.

Having him and Lamela would give us great options on the flanks, finally some tactical flexibility would be very welcomed.

We are good enough to win the EL with the current squad and the Coppa. Just sell in January.

It would be excellent to sign Menez for free in the summer. He is fantastic in one on one situations and is in his prime.. hopefully he could reach his full potential here. It would be another great free transfer for Juve.

Maybe we could also sell Giovinco to Arsenal right now then just get Menez for free in the summer to replace him.

I'm not that excited about Menez. He would be a good acquisition for free and is a good player but that's it. His decision making is not good enough for him to be anything more than a good player.

I'd definitely get him though, we need more than one winger.
