So wait, isn't Todibo on loan at the Bubbles team? Doesn't that mean Bubbles is going to have to terminate the loan? And then Jungtoli has to negotiate a deal with Bubbles? All within 8 days?

Where can I bet on this?

No idea what are the loan details, Romano said it's obligatory clause, while west ham official website stated it's optional buy out. If it's optional he could just return if West ham and Nice agrees

players on loan can be loaned out again. Not sure how options/obligations work, guessing theyd have to negotiate that part.
west ham can't loan him, his loan has to be canceled and we have to loan him from the owner. since west ham allegedly have an obligation to buy him, i wonder whether nice would loan him to us with less strict conditions

Well planned mercato.
hey, we barely know for 3 months that we need at least 2 cb's

i don't follow other club's transfers too closely but i'd be surprised if others treated their urgencies so lightly

Nice got obligation to buy for like €40m. I don't think they would want to cancel it unless we offer the same amount of money.
It would be different with option that parent club might think getting better playing time elsewhere increase the chance the player can be sold

And it would be surprising if we can offer those amount to Nice

Maybe West Ham feels they have no other choice. They've already agreed to buy him but he wants out/ won't play there so they intend to loan him to us, where he will play and keep his market value from dropping, before they can sell him permanently in the summer?

Maybe.. it all sounds a bit complicated for this stage of the window though
