Juve, Milan, Inter, Real, Barça, United, Liverpool, Bayern, Benfica, Porto and Ajax are the mythical clubs in europe.

You can't say that one of those is clearly bigger than another (except the last three, taking into account their leagues). The most you can say is that, at the moment, Juve and Liverpool are the underdogs. It'll affect, mostly, our capacity to attract the best players/staff.
Before Calciopoli, Inter hadn't won a European trophy for over 50 years. They hadn't won Serie A since the 80s.

actually it was Luca Toni circa 2011
How can you say no to Juventus when you're not good enough for Bayern, Roma and Genoa? Toni thought his career was going down the toilet when even Genoa wanted to get rid of him and then out of nowhere Juventus comes in with a two year contract. I don't think he ever saw that one coming.

Mascherano staying at Barca

Javier Mascherano will not leave Barcelona for an Italian club in the summer. “Let’s not joke,” stated his agent.

The Argentine has been associated with Juventus and Roma in recent weeks, but the midfielder’s representative has rubbished such claims.

“Please, let us not talk about Mascherano going to Italy,” Horacio Zandonadi told Radio Mana Mana on Monday.

“Let’s not joke. Mascherano plays for Barcelona or, in other words, the best club side in the world.

“He wouldn’t consider his future, not even if Juventus or Milan made an offer for his services,” added Zandonadi.

“As for Roma, can they pay him more than what Barcelona do? Mascherano will be going nowhere this summer.”

The South American joined the Nou Camp outfit less than a year ago after ending his Premiership stint with Liverpool.
