Aight guys, i know there is a thread for trips to italy, but this is different.

In jan (if not before) i'm leaving england to see the world and it would be sick to meet up with some of you guys on my way through.

This is the route that im kinda planning on doing -

India (bangalore to see sheik and asif)
Bejing and pissing around in china to hong kong
Hanoi - laos - cambodia
indonesia to singapore
singapore - auckland
i may go to australia, but i dont really want to
from either NZ or AUS - Tokyo
Tokyo - California - i want to catch up with Kyle in cali and if anyone else lives in the area that i dont know about it'd be sick to see you as well
Cali -across the US (stopping in vegas) to the East Coast...probs renting a car and driving across if anyone lives en route and fancies putting me up for a night,
East coast to catch up with the east coast lot - looking at burke etc. here.
Up to NY via the big cities on the east and chilling in the big city and flying home in july time.

I will probs take about 6 months to do all of it and will have more concrete plans when i come to booking my tours and flights etc.

The point of the thread is so i can get advice, places to see and people i can meet on my route. If i missed anyone in the tour description (which will be a lot of people) its because i dont know where you come from.

Let the advice flow.....

Edit:

I may visit some arabic countries before india, but nothing really attracts me to go there, from my understanding its just big cities with not much in and desert, and im not too keen on going to south america, nothing against the place im just not interested. Unless anyone (looking at motorhead or dragon) can tempt me with something to do in the area.

what are you looking for in your trip? because Arabic countries are a lot more than deserts and big cities
seeing the world, learning about things i don't know, meeting new people.

When i said that, i was talking about places like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman etc. on the arab peninsula. I know Kuwait/Lebanon etc. offer different things, And i haven't pulled that out of the air, its what i have been told by people that have gone to places like Qatar, Dubai etc.

That's true if you are talking about the Gulf countries, but countries like Syria and Lebanon have more (Nature, new culture, ancient places, night life, etc...) and they are relatively cheap to spend few days there...

You say that, but you have to factor in the cost of the flight to get to and from the countries on top of the main places, to visit lebanon it would be another £500 in flights to get there and to get to bangalore. I am not writing it off, i'd love to see beirut etc., iv spend the past year writing essays on what has gone on in the area, but i need to justify the cost!
