This is excellent news. Hopefully Roma get it done, meaning we either never had interest in Sancho, or Comolli’s actually doing a good job avoiding that kind of player profile. If we’re serious about becoming a winning club again, we’d never touch a player like Sancho.

My honest feeling is that we were never really that close to Sancho, I think there was some interest, we approached his party but I don't think it ever came to a sit down with man utd and lets talk fees, this is why I was adament recently that nothing would come of this especially as there was quite a long period of silence which suggests nothing is happening.
Did we lose out? no I think it was a matter of the management not wanting to proceed any further than they did.
Either way fans will criticise this whether he joins Juve or Roma. Personally I'm glad we aren't getting him.

That's all this summer has been, rehashed old stories because it's been a summer of very little news so far... Was even reading a few hours before the Atletico madrid links, one 'Juve news site' headlined "EXCLUSIVE - Nico Gonzalez to Al Ahli" or something along those lines, I laughed knowing that he already turned down Saudi some weeks ago, when Al Ahli first came sniffing around.
