Looks like Boumsong-Kovač partnership is getting better and better.

The Juventus defence is firm as a rock now.

Buffon: “We’re like a rock at the back”

“We’ve adjusted the few anomalies we had at the start and now, apart from playing well and taking home the points, we’re like a rock at the back. As a goalkeeper, I have no complaints with that”. Buffon kept his third clean sheet in a row against Piacenza, a clear sign of progress for the Juventus back line. Buffon can certainly claim responsibility for the improvements, always vocal at the heart of the Bianconeri defence. “I’ve always taken responsibility as my role is a delicate one. If you don’t talk to your team mates, things become a lot harder”. Asked what he thought about the attacks he’s encountered over his first month in Serie B, the goalkeeper had this to say. “I have to say that the quality of teams at the lower end of Serie A is not all that different to the quality of teams in Serie B. You might say that teams are more keen on playing football here, which is a pleasant surprise for me”.

What do you say about Boumsong now?

People were sceptic about him, and now he is being praised by Gigi Buffon.

That means something.:agree:

What do you think of Faty - Boumsong in the backline?:eyebrows:

Are we allowed to talk to Faty? The rules are you can talk to a player about Bossman transfers 6 month before his contract expires, that means we have the right to contact him in January.

Stripper is spot on, Faty, I am sure, just admitted that Juve tapped him up like Alex Fergueson specialty.:D. Then again I am also certain that Sepp Blatter doesnt have a brain to figure this out.:p .

Personally basis on the the games we have played, I am fine with the backline as it is. After all, it will take monumental effort for Boumsong to fook up like he did against Rimni. And even if we concede couple of goals, Trezeguet is playing like a man on a mission with the aim of breaking all time Serie B goalscoring record. Baggio was right saying that Trez is priceless to this team, and I think his continual presence in the team that is being free from injury will be the deference from Serie A or B.

I say keep the team as it is, and get couple of good loaning signing with perhaps view to a permanent transfer. I feel January signings tends to be more risky than summer ones and I highly doubt any big time players are willing to commit themselves to Serie B when they can just wait and see if we get promoted or not at the end of the year. In another words, I think we should snap up Faty for free. It soulds like Moggi specialty.:agree: :eyebrows:

Tribalfootball is not the most serious of news suppliers out there, I know this, but they now claim that our Faty-boy has told L'Equipe that his move to Juve in June is already a done deal.

Are there any frenchies here who reads this newspaper frequently? :)

Great!

So we are getting him for free.

Thats a pretty good, maybe the best deal from Deschamps and Secco.

Because usually young French talents become very good players.

But like I said before, I dont wanna a French National Team in Juventus.

For now there are Boumsong, Zebina and Trezeguet.

Faty is the 4th one, no need for more than that.

Please DD, start looking elsewhere, not only in France!

Faty set for Juventus move Tuesday 3 October, 2006

Rennes stopper Jacques Faty has confirmed that he expects to complete a move to Juventus at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old, whose brother Ricardo plays for Roma, is contracted to the Ligue 1 side until June 2007.

However, it is understood that he has reached an agreement in principle with Bianconeri Coach Didier Deschamps – one of his big admirers.

“In June I will move to Juventus if everything goes as planned,” the France Under-21 international told L’Equipe. “I hope we can finalise the deal.”

The central defender was already paired with the Turin club during the summer, when the demoted giants were reshaping their squad and were looking for some reinforcements at the back after the departures of Lilian Thuram, Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluca Zambrotta.

“I do believe that Coach Deschamps is interested in my services and of course I would like to join that great club,” Faty said at the time.

The youngster, who has played 103 Ligue 1 matches with Rennes, is valued at £1.7m and is part of the Promotion Sport Consulting group who also manage Juve’s summer buy Jean-Alain Boumsong.

I think we should have gone rather for Kaboul from Auxerre, he is Most Wanted Defender in France, or Givet, I dont know, maybe Squilacci.

Faty is rather unestablished player.
