Steepness makes for a better view.
On a slight slope, you can have your view blocked if you end up sat behind a giant, but that's less likely to happen on a steeper slope.
Also, you can get the great fun of an avalanche effect when a goal goes in and the the celebrations get out of hand and people start falling down the stand.
