Kranjcar would be best IMO. We should try to get him on loan this Jan, see how it goes. If Niko doesn't do well then fine get Ivan on a free next summer.
"I'm not very optimistic about the contract talks with Ivan Rakitic at the moment," Magath was quoted as saying by Bild.
"We could even decide to cash in on him in the January transfer window. Everything's possible in the world of football and so is a transfer this winter."
Free agents get higher wages so in the end it won't make a difference if we buy him in January for 5m or in the summer for free. When you sum all up after 2-3 seasons, you will get the same amount.
If Marotta and co. think that Juve needs Rakitic then I prefer to buy him in January rather than June.
Any opinion on the player as to how he'd fit in here or what he could offer? Don't know anything about him aside from some talk of "potential" a few years ago.

I think they should take a chance on this guy. He's young and can really shine if given the opportunity. He's shown glimpses of greatness (remember Euro 2008?) and maybe Serie A would suit him a bit better.
