I dunt want barzaghli or helguera ...both suck.
I think empoli's coda is even better than barzaghli
Yeah but being better than someone who sucks isn't really something to get excited about

Moggi denied the rumours that Juve are on the verge of signing Helguera on a free transfer at the end of the season.

“I don’t even know who he is,” declared a sarcastic Moggi.

Helguera on a free would be a pretty decent deal but looking at our current crop of central defenders I'd say we need someone younger . Thuram, Cannavaro and Kovac are all the wrong side of 30 so acquiring the services of another player who is closer to the end of his career than he is from the start doesn't make much sense.

Personally I would try for one of the following: Vincent Kompany, Gonzalo Rodriguez, Luis Perea, Nigel de Jong, Jorge Andrade or Andrea Barzagli.
Younger. For sure. between 20 and 28, not older.

Moggi: I Hope Totti And Cassano Play Against Juve
    11/15/2005 7:33:00 AM
The Juventus General Director does not want to create any controversy ahead of this weekend’s big match between the Giallorossi and Bianconeri.
Francesco Totti missed Italy’s impressive 3-1 win over Holland on Saturday due to an injury, but the Roma captain will surely be on the field when the capital city side will host the Old Lady on Saturday night, something which will please Luciano Moggi.

“I’m happy about this. With Totti’s presence the match will be nicer. Let’s hope that also Cassano will play. Roma is coming back in the Scudetto circle following the problems at the start of the season.”

Moggi also denied the rumours that Juve are on the verge of signing Helguera on a free transfer at the end of the season.

“I don’t even know who he is,” declared a sarcastic Moggi.

Well we didn`t buy Nakata or Seedorf...
And about the scoring thing Zlatan`s goal against Italy had prevent Italy from qualifying if I remember correctly and Trez`s goal sent Italy home and gave france the european cup or if you look at it in another direction only players that score against Italy (and make a difference with the goal) and not Juve are the ones who come here...

His transition from holding midfielder to centre back never really convinced me TBH...would be nice to have as a squad player (on a free of course) but he'll have to improve substantially for me to trust him with a position as important as Cannavaro's and Thuram's.

For one, his anticipation of his opponent's movement is horrendous.
