The accidental death of Melo had left everyone with a bad taste in their mouth (but that wasn't unusual with Melo). No one was sure if it was the booze, the bad music, or the stench of death from the pile of bodies over by ALC's drum kit, but they thirsted for more blood.
This time it had been Alen and Fred on the block, with no one being quite sure as to which one was more suspicious. After a long and grueling voting process, they came to a conclusion.
Alen had to be killed. And as they stabbed him repeatedly in the manboobs, he let them know that they had been right. Alen was a gangster.
They rejoiced in their correct choice, but as they did so they heard another ominous gunshot as the body of Gabriel fell to the floor. Another of their number was whacked, another mere civilian added to the pile. One down for each side.
