The body that fell so heavily to the floor was that of Nzoric, who had been blazed by someone calling themselves The Detective.

Nzoric is now dead. He was killed by the Detective in a desperate move to find the gangsters. The Detective was lucky, Nzoric was indeed a gangster. The Detective has now waived his right to investigate tomorrow.
