Cesena 2-1 Genoa
Despite a succession of injuries, this late victory keeps the home side’s play-off dreams alive and dampens Genoa’s hopes. Cesena lost star striker Papa Waigo after just five minutes with a right thigh strain and teammate Piccoli followed with a sprained knee, but his replacement Pellè would prove decisive. The first half was an even if patchy affair with chances from Leon set-pieces, a deflected Rossi effort and a fierce Anastasi strike from 30 metres.
After the break Leon’s free kick set up Gasparetto to balloon over from point-blank range, while at the other end De Feudis did not make the most of a poor Rubinho clearance. However, just moments after Gasparetto slipped at the crucial moment clear on goal, Cesena took the lead against the run of play, as Pellè was left unmarked for a free header from Bracaletti’s cross. Genoa fought back vehemently and Greco took nine minutes to draw level by sliding on to a low Fabiano assist across the face of goal. The Grifoni were determined to win it, but that only left more space at the back for Pellicori to restore Cesena’s advantage with a powerful rising right-foot effort.
Scorers: Pellè 71 (C), Greco 80 (G), Pellicori 88 (C)

Crotone 2-1 Napoli
Napoli’s four-month unbeaten run came to a surprise end at third-from-bottom Crotone. Edy Reja’s men got off to a terrible start, as in the opening 18 minutes Sedivec had dribbled past both Giubilato and goalkeeper Iezzo to place an angled drive into the far corner and – after Giubilato’s header hit the woodwork for Napoli – Giampaolo sprung the offside trap to beat the helpless Iezzo. Cannavaro nodded just off target, but was visibly angry to be replaced for tactical reasons after just 21 minutes.
Sedivec was a constant danger, but the visitors were given a leg back into the game when former Napoli man Zamboni accidentally turned a De Zerbi free kick into his own net. Bau’s goal was correctly disallowed for offside and substitute Calaio was extremely lucky to hit the post twice during the same individual move. The frame of the goal was also shaking around Iezzo thanks to a Sedivec cross-shot and the goalkeeper required a reaction save with an outstretched foot to stop the lively Crotone star. Napoli are beaten after 18 games without defeat in Serie B.
Scorers: Sedivec 8 (C), Giampaolo 18 (C), Zamboni og 41

Piacenza 5-1 Modena
Promotion chasing Piacenza have moved into second place after beating Modena 5-1 in the Serie B Monday night game. With the top of the table clash between Juventus and Napoli being postponed because of international commitments, Piacenza took advantage by jumping over the Azzurri in the standings. The home side took an instant grip of the game by going two up after just 25 minutes thanks to Nef and star striker Cacia. The points looked virtually guaranteed at the break, especially given that Modena are fighting for their Second Division lives. Yet they seemingly got back into the game just after the restart through Abate. However, any hope of a Gialloblu fight back evaporated within 60 seconds as Rantier restored the Garilli outfit’s two-goal advantage. To make matters worse, Modena were reduced to 10-men due to the dismissal of Rossi in minute 67, before Lazzari fired home a fourth and Gemiti a fifth in the closing stages.
Scorers: Nef 3 (P), Cacia 25 (P), Abate 51 (M), Rantier 52 (P), Lazzari 82 (P), Gemiti 85 (P)
Sent-off: Rossi 67 (M)

we have a 6 point lead against Genoa and an 8 point league against about 4 teams including Napoli. Napoli have Bologna in the next game and Genoa have Bologna in the week after, so there will be dropped points there imo.

Since we have Albinoleffe and Lecce we should have the upper hand for the upcoming weekends, also we have Napoli midweek so we could end up their chances there.

Three weeks time we will have Genoa at home, so that will be a big one as well as i see them the bigger threat.

A big month ahead that we should finish up the league by the time it finishes.Hopefully we will have a full team

Napoli were leading 1-0 and at the last minute a clear pk in favor of Albinoleffe was not given.
If that happened to us there would have been another 5min process with no chance to defend ourselves.

What are we now? Crybabies. I don't care about Napoli.

We are Juventus.
Yes who cares but some idiots think that when it happens to Juve it's because we stole the fuckin' game...when it's about another team, the media and fans don't give a sh*t.

and the media and sporting justice really let us know.

That's what irritates most Juve fans. Forget the past and just look at this year's Serie B and next year and you'll see a riot every time we get a dubious call in our favor. When it happens to another team you see it at the moviola and they forget about it a second later. They made and will continue making shows out of these calls because we're Juve.

I don't care if Napoli or Genoa win the remaining of their games on dubious calls. I know we'll make it on top. I just want these guys to judge Juve like every other team but that'll never happen.

FIGC Fiddles With Coppa Final, Napoli & Juventus

FIGC Fiddles With Coppa Final, Napoli & Juventus FIGC (The Italian FA) has issued a few changes that have annoyed many, but which are there to be accepted as the weekend action gets ready…

The Coppa Italia Final second leg at San Siro will start at 17:30 CET, while the date for Brescia-Napoli has been set at the Stadio Rigamonti on Tuesday May 15 at 18:00 CET.

The Coppa first leg match ended 6-2 as it was played out on a sunny Roman early evening and it looks like the second leg is going to start even earlier – to the annoyance of many who’ll miss the action at work.

Juventus also can’t be officially re-promoted this weekend with the Brescia and Napoli postponement.

The Vecchia Signora could have mathematically made it back to the elite against Bologna, after both Napoli and Genoa lost but the Stadio Rigamonti has been called off by the National Observatory for public order reasons.

It was due to be played on Sunday afternoon at 15:00, but will now be played on another day as it is deemed as a potentially dangerous flashpoint.

The Brescia police chief, Francesco Paolo Tronca, explained the reasons.

“We chose to move the match to a working day after the Observatory’s report highlighted the risks in this game,” he stressed.

“The game will probably be moved to Tuesday at 17:00, a time and day that should prevent many Napoli fans from travelling to Brescia.”

Genoa - Napoli match will be a very hard match. I hope Genoa will defeat Napoli.
And Piacenza to win against Triestina to make the life of Napoli like hell:D

And Arezzo still has a chance to stay.
