I hope the new homegrown rules will get the Serie A on a higher level. Most of people here are laughing about Milan, Inter, Napoli et cetera. I know they are funny and there meltdowns each year are really humorous, but they need to go back on top. I mean, I really enjoy the season more if we have a lot of competition. The last 3-4 years it is just a walk in the park, the Serie A was the best competition in the world. All clubs had beautiful players and they dominated the CL like Spain is doing now.

Now most of people watch to the Classico. Do you know where Classico stands for? Fake fans, pussies on the field and a lot of show, but not real football as the Derby Della Madoninna was back in the days. I want the times back that everyone was waiting for that derby, or Lazio - Roma or Juve - Inter.

I really hope Inter and Milan go back on top, at least on group stage Champions League level. They are now far away from it, especially Milan. I hope they will come back after the Chinese takeover. The new homegrown rules needs to stimulate the smaller clubs to use their talents instead of buying mediocre foreigners (for too much money). Look at Sass, they are a perfect example of how it works as smaller team. From all the 'top' clubs in Italy I hope Lazio will rise to a competitor from us. I have the most soft spot for them as I need to choose.

If we can become better again, with talents, organisation and good trading to foreign countries, the clubs can make theirself financially stable. What means new stadiums, more services, better players and that results in more attendance. But I think it is impossible with Tavecchio & Co ...

I miss te good ol' times.

Sampdoria's #1 Ferrero: 'I'm not selling the club and Montella will stay'
Ferrero Sampdoria indica
11 May at 14:06
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero told Radio Crc: “No, I’m not selling the club. I read many stupidities, but I am not selling. Ferrero remains at Samp because he loves Samp, and he is working many hours a day to make it a better club”.

“Montella is and remains our coach”, he added. “Sometimes, when you are angry, you say things that you really don’t think; however, my words have been manipulated”.

Regarding the possibility of a swap with Napoli involving Fernando and Mirko Valdifiori, Ferrero said: “The transfer market is not over yet, but if De Laurentiis wants one of my players, he will call me and ask. Also Soriano at Napoli? We’ll see..”

Gnoukouri Jr gets two-year ban
By Football Italia staff

Assane Gnoukouri’s younger brother, Zate, has been given a two-year ban for slapping a referee.

The Ivorian is in the Inter youth team, but is unlikely to have a future with the Nerazzurri after receiving a hefty ban.

While playing Atalanta in the Torneo Internazionale Città di San Bonifaci, Gnoukouri was booked for dissent.

“Upon notification of the disciplinary measure, he voluntarily and forcefully struck the referee in the face [right jaw] with an open hand, causing the referee such physical pain the game was ended early,” the disciplinary notice reads.

“The player maintained his threatening behaviour and tried to attack him again, being stopped from a serious offence only by a director from his club.”

Gnoukouri has therefore been banned until May 9, 2018.

That is utterly ridiculous. Of course it's stupid behaviour from a 16 year old. But banning him for two years? That is intentionally destroying a career. Ban him for a month or two, hell maybe even six. Two years reeks of racism.

It will get reduced I'm certain. They always manage to get reduced somehow. If anything, it was to set an example IMO.

It will get reduced because it is absolutely the right thing to do. This guy should be punished on multiple levels. Maybe even have him do community work or something. But destroying a young man's career over a one time incident when he's 16, an age where none of us are able to control their temper, is absolutely not acceptable.

I guess they want to make an example of him, so behaviour like that is not allowed. IMO it's a good penalty, no one will touch a ref from now on.
No. Making examples out of people is not justice. It's retarded. Also I am 99% sure this is about his race. It's Italy remember?

2 years for this?

2 years for that is INSANE. I recall a similar sitaution in U-19 or U-21 euro NT game, a Portuguese youngster hit the ref, he got like 3 or 6 months.

even better example, Joao Pinto, another Portuguese in wc 2002 hit the ref after being sent off, was banned for 6 months. Both of these cases really hit the ref, half a year makes sense (Portuguese youngster guessing effected his career for longer), but this dumbass Interista kid pretty much talks himself into a red and then pokes the ref on the face it seems (dont see a strike), unacceptable and completely out of bonds for sure. But 2 years is a ridicolous joke.

If punishment if too light then you'll be having refs being slapped every week.

It's not justice? So it's ok for some loser dumbfucks to hit someone just because things go against him? It's not like he stole something from him or fucked/killed his mother. There's no excuse whatsoever to allow this things happen. If the guy can't control himself, he's got only himself to blame. From now on others will think twice before even touching a ref.

I'm sure they want that thing to stop asap. You have players pushing and slapping refs for no reason and you defend the guy yet?

The racist thing is a ridiculous statement, you have no proof the punishment is so high just because of his skin colour. Don't look for things that aren't there. I know that FIGIC guys are retarded but their job is to stop this happening, they get paid for that. The kid has only himself to blame.

Dude are you insane? It's two years and the destruction of a life. All just to make an example out of someone. And you think that's a good thing? No. This isn't justice. It's sickening.

I could come over to your place and cut off your dick to make it clear that posting dumb shit on Tuz is not allowed. I mean I'm sure you'd be an example and people would think twice, but would you call it justice?
