In 20 years Napoli fans will still be crying about this scudetto. They will tell their kids about how it all went down.

"Wow Dad, that is so heartbreaking that you lost to that vile, cheating Juve! If they didn't get all that help, we could have won right Dad? How close were we anyway?"

"We were 2nd by only 12 points, son."

"Oh."
To be fair it's closer than 24 the previous season. Maybe they'll only be 6 behind next season?

Higuain Sr: ‘Napoli don’t get help…’ | Football Italia

By Football Italia staff
Gonzalo Higuain’s father, Jorge, declares “Napoli are not a team who have had help like Juventus”.

The Partenopei striker’s brother has previously alleged the Bianconeri get preferential treatment from referees, and the player’s manager also weighed-in.

“They love Gonzalo in Naples and I have to say he deserves it,” Jorge Higuain told Fox Sports Argentina.

“He’s been playing there for three years now, and the people see in him the legend of a Scudetto they won with another Argentinian [Diego Maradona] and which they’ve been without for so long.

“Of course, it’s a bit hard to go out or go somewhere to eat, because Neapolitans are like us, they’re full of enthusiasm and they always show it.

“Napoli are not a team who have had help like Juventus, and the players perceive that.

“Gonzalo was banned for three games because he exploded in Udine where two penalties were whistled for against the Azzurri in 10 minutes, which would never happen to Juventus.

“It’s normal that certain refereeing will annoy you and make you explode, just like happened to my son.

“The Scudetto isn’t lost mathematically yet, but I think it’s impossible to recover now.”

The Bianconeri lead by nine points, with only 12 available between now and the end of the season.

The butt hurt is too bad

“The Scudetto isn’t lost mathematically yet, but I think it’s impossible to recover now.” - showing here that he's as much an idiot as his son is a choker.
The sad thing about that is, most Napoli fans believe that garbage. Like seriously believe that we wouldn't ever get penalties awarded against us, and our players are protected from refs in terms of red and yellow cards. The hilarious thing about the Udinese game is, EVERY single decision made by the ref was spot on. Both incidents were clear penalties and Higuains second yellow (and subsequent lengthy ban) were all 100% correct. Yet the deluded and frustrated losers can't hack it. My brother in law is one of these deluded morons. Then I showed him this list.

In 6 seasons, I think Napoli has had less than 5 penalties conceded at the San Paolo. They are amazingly protected by refs in their shithole of a city, because the officials are seriously scared those troglodytes will turn nasty if they screw their team up.

Napoli fans are completely retarded. One of the worst fanbases in all of football.

Going through our 5 scudetto run:

15/16
Juve 7 penalties awarded - 2 conceded = +5
Napoli 8 penalties awarded - 5 conceded = +3

14/15
Juve 9 awarded - 5 conceded = +4
Napoli 9 awarded - 2 conceded = +7

13/14
Juve 4 awarded - 3 conceded = +1
Napoli 9 awarded - 3 conceded = +6

12/13
Juve 10 awarded - 5 conceded = +5
Napoli 9 awarded - 2 conceded = +7

11/12
Juve 3 awarded - 3 conceded = 0
Napoli 7 awarded - 1 conceded = +6

So in a 5 scudetti run where we were clearly the best team in Serie A... somehow Napoli is +29 on penalties, while Juventus is +15. Coming into this year Napoli was averaging 2 penalties conceded a year. They had 2 penalties awarded against them at home in 4 years. We had 4 awarded against us at home last season alone. We're favoured by the refs...

I wouldn't mind but they had decisions go their way in several games in 2016 - the offside goal against Milan, the penalty in Palermo, both goals against Genoa. All brought 3 points. I've seen home games where they had clear penalties not called against them. Albiol got booked and then sarcastically applauded and patted the ref on the shoulder and got away with it in Udine. If that was Bonucci you would be hearing about it in 2075, a Napoli player and no one even pays attention.

I say let them carry this victim mentality as long as they want, let them have their own made up "moral scudetto". Honestly it might be the only thing that keeps them sane in this era of Juve dominance. Their mindset only obstructs them, they're like peas in a pod with Roma.

Higuain's first goal against Lazio was pretty dodgy too.

As I said, they rarely concede penalties at the San Paolo. Referees are scared shitless of that place and the backlash that ensues whenever things don't go their way.

Let these clubs continue the victim card. Doing so keeps them mentally weak and when constantly putting forth so much effort to make excuses it's no wonder why these clubs crumble every season. They don't realize that the endless flow of excuses is only benefiting Juve because they only fall apart at their own expense.

I sleep so well at night knowing our dominance is here to stay for many more years. The ONLY clubs big enough to ever come back are the Milan(s) and both are near financial ruin. They will have to sell in order to buy. Those selfish fucks thought the Calciopoli waive would last for longer than it did and we planned accordingly.

Napoli & Roma...those mental midgets don't have the integrity and mental capacity to go the distance. B_Aus says it all the time, as soon as we starting stringing victories together they shit themselves.

on the other hand some of us want stronger league, in reality there is only one choice atm, either we get retarded 'rivals' but weaker league or we get sane 'rivals' but stronger league.

Obviously is moronic indeed to not be happy about winning the league 5 times...or 10 times in a row. Thats why juve plays for in italy. But i get his point about the league being shid. Sadly, it seems Juve is 2 or 3 steps ahead any other team in the league...and is obvs not sad for us...but sad for the league itself.

Most teams are in shambles and we dont have a proper rival who can pose a treat and up their game. Napolis run has more to do with a miraculous higuain and with us fuking up, than with napoli itselsf. The rest of the teams are in a limbo of lack of money , bad signings and bad results.

As of today, Juventus is the only team which seems to have a north... the rest are like headless poor chickens. We need a better league for our achievements to create more hype internationally.

Right now, if we do not win in the CL, no one cares about us.. and only look at us to see which player they can snatch.

Serie A is sad indeed.
Thank you it really seems like me and only a one or two others really realize that, with no cl=pointless. Honestly guys, tell me, what is the difference between our reign in pathetic serie a right now, and the reign lyon had for a good 10 years or whatever in ligue 1??? There is none, both dominate shit leagues but fail to do anything in Europe. You think I want this? That I enjoy saying this? No, but hiding behind "we've won 5 serie a in a row we're a legendary team that will be in the history books" is bullshit, open your eyes, we're a decent team in a shit league and out of our element with the big boys

Okay we didn't win the CL I see your general point but out of our element with the big boys? I think we have done very well against the big boys. If anything our underwhelming CL performances were against smaller clubs.

Lets have a brief review. We were outplayed twice by big boys ever since our first scudetto. Once was against a Bayern that thrashed every big team in the world on its way to the title and the other was a CL final against Barcelona who also destroyed every other big team (we werent destroyed but they were better). In both those losses, we were no worse than any of the top teams that faced these clubs and actually did better than most and never received a hammering the way others did. So even here we are on par with top teams.

Other than these matches, we played Chelsea and destroyed them. We played Dortmund and destroyed them. We edged Madrid in two legs last year and they edged us in their CL winning year in the group stage. We outplayed city twice in the group stage. We equaled if not bettered Bayern this season.

The only thing we do worse than the top teams is that we do not destroy smaller clubs as consistently as they do. This will probably get ironed out the more experience and talent is added into the squad. But in big matches every top team should fear us and for good reasons. We are extremely hard to beat and we win much more than we lose against the heavy weights.

They continued to spend despite Calciopoli destroying Serie A money and they did not see FFP rules coming. They didn't know they would have to rebuild on a tiny budget and that they have to make much more revenues to make up for the league's demise, if they are to stay as good. Inter was making massive losses despite 4 years of Serie dominance and winning the treble and were spending as if Serie A money was as good as EPL money. They then realized the need to rebuild and they realized that they have to do it within FFP limitations. So essentially they had to rebuild in 2011 from scratch on a budget all of a sudden following their most successful period ever. Same thing happened with Milan. Their costs were so off the charts that the changes had to be drastic and they completely mismanaged it.

We have been rebuilding on a budget 3-4 years before they did and we had lower pressure/expectations because we were recovering from demotion. They are idiots and are managed by idiots. They should have started cutting costs as soon as Serie A's money became shit and had to quickly get in line with FFP rules before Juve recovered.
