1 game automatic ban for the second yellow
1 game extra cause he touched the ref.

its a touch, not molesting. 4 games is retarded. They are making an example out of him.

In all fairness, this is not benefitting juventus. This is benefitting Roma now, and Inter next season (alot)

+1 for insulting the ref
+1 for going violent against everybody around

Fuck 'we couldn't defeat Dnipro because juventino Platini didn't want us to' Napoli

Report: Four games for Higuain
By Football Italia staff

Reports suggest Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain will be given a four-match ban after his red card against Udinese.

The Argentinian striker was shown a second yellow card in the 3-1 defeat to the Zebrette, and appeared to push referee Massimiliano Irrati, before being dragged away by his teammates.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Irrati’s report doesn’t mention any violent conduct, but does note “a light push”. Had the referee not used the term “light”, Higuain would be looking at 10 matches out.

The four game ban is broken down into one game for the red card, one each for his insulting remarks and one for pushing Irrati. If the suspension is confirmed, Higuain would miss games against Verona, Inter, Bologna and Roma.

In addition, Coach Maurizio Sarri is expected to be given a one-game touchline ban for telling officials “you should be ashamed of yourselves”, for which he was sent to the stands.

The official disciplinary report will be released tomorrow, as there is still one Serie A fixture to go in this round, tonight’s match between Bologna and Verona.

Meh. I've seen players do a lot worse. I wouldn't disagree with a 3 match ban, but frankly I've seen worse behaviour get punished with one game. I understand that it is vital to the game to protect the ref. Touching him should not be allowed. But there's a big difference between actually intending to physically hurt the ref or merely touching him. If we can't understand that difference and hand out 3 game bans for both, we're going to run into trouble very soon.

I disagree. Bonucci does not headbutt the referee. But he is very intimidating and is clearly intending to be intimidating by being in the ref's face. That behaviour is every bit as aggressive as Higuain's and is not to be condoned either.
Who said both should be a 3 match ban? If you physically assault a referee with intent to injure it should be a 10+ Match ban. What Higuain did is a clear 3 match ban by any measure. Obvious.

A 3 match ban for assaulting a ref? That's crazy talk.

And there is a very obvious difference between Bonucci arguing with the ref about Khedira's red for about 5 seconds with no physical contact and Higuain having to be forcibly removed from the pitch after placing his hands on the ref.

Do Napoli fans think that the more they mention Bonucci the more it becomes true?

Great front page of today's Tuttosport

Agent: ‘One game ban for Higuain’

Gonzalo Higuain’s agent says his client deserves only a one-game ban and repeats “Juventus had help, unlike Napoli”.

The Partenopei striker was sent-off in yesterday’s defeat to Udinese, and may be facing a lengthy ban after appearing to push the referee and having to be dragged off the pitch.

Higuain’s agent and brother Nicolas has previously alleged that leaders Juve have had help from referees, and spoke on Radio Crc this afternoon.

“I’m disappointed too,” Higuain said.

“Yesterday’s defeat is bad, but there are seven games to go, seven finals, and we can win them all.

“Mathematically you can’t say that Napoli can’t win the Scudetto, so I’m still optimistic even if it has become difficult.

“Juve are the best team, no question, but they’ve had some help, unlike Napoli. Against Sampdoria, for example, there was a non-existent penalty given against Napoli.

“Winning the Scudetto is very hard, but you just have to keep winning. It’s hard to see two penalties being blown for in 10 minutes at this stage of the season, of which one was scored and one wasn’t.

“Gonzalo has never seen such a thing in his career, and it makes you think bad things.

“I spoke with Gonzalo after the game, he was angry and disappointed and he vented. It’s difficult to battle the wind and the tide.

“Yesterday he was given a yellow for protesting about a non-existent offside, so we await the decision of the giudice sportivo [disciplinary committee].

“We saw a few days ago a Juventus player having a word with the referee and getting no sanction, so hope the decision for Higuain is one or two games.

“He protested because he wasn’t offside, you can see that from the images. There’s so much injustice in football, and things like that change seasons.

“Gonzalo’s reaction was that of a player who feels there is injustice against him, because there was a foul on him by [Dias] Felipe and the referee didn’t blow immediately.

“It’s a game situation, and the referee waited for Gonzalo’s reaction before whistling. It’s a foul in Argentina, and everywhere else in the world, but I’m not sure about Italy.

“Dignity and pride come first, but when you see that kind of thing you begin to think bad things.

“If the law at the giudice sportivo is the same for everyone, then just as with [Leonardo] Bonucci’s headbutt on [referee Nicola] Rizzoli [in the Derby della Mole. Rizzoli denies there was any headbutt] I expect Higuain to be banned for only one game.

“Bonucci didn’t get a red card, so Higuain should get one game.

“You can’t take Higuain’s behaviour as an example and ban him to make it clear to others what not to do on the pitch - if you don’t do it with Bonucci you can’t do it with Higuain. I expect a fair verdict.”

Next weekend sees Juventus make a difficult trip to San Siro to face Milan, while Napoli welcome bottom-side Verona.

“We must win at all costs against Verona, then wait for Juventus’ result as they’ll have a difficult game.

“We must subdue our anger and think positively, looking forward because Napoli’s season has been outstanding.

“Napoli’s football is beautiful, it entertains all the fans.”
This guy is delusional, maybe if he didn't complain after every single game people might take him seriously

In other words, they got this absolutely right.

His penalty also includes his abusive language to the referee.

Hey, if Sami got two matches, then this ban makes perfect sense.
exactly

1 game automatic ban for the second yellow
1 game extra cause he touched the ref.

If we win the league this year I will still question how we managed it?

I honestly thought the league was long gone and Roma, Inter or Napoli were going to do it and break our 4 year streak.
Dude, you shouldn't be surprised. As i have mentioned after our second scudetto with Conte we are here to dominate Serie A for 5 years. Now that we have reached the 5 years, i am going to say we will dominate the league for 10 years. Europe is our only challenge. Not this shitty league.

I hope you are right :) Once we do well in Europe I dont mind not winning it.

I always wanted to see Juve win the CL but for me nothing will ever top 2012 Scudetto.

Everything after 2012 is just a bonus for me.

I'm not complaining, but 3 would've been alright too. Would probably complain if I were a Napoli fan though tbh :D
:agree: all the time

Just shows how little faith in the team you had if you thought a 11 point deficit after 10 games is already a lost scudetto for us

The joke in my country when i say i am Juventus fan, is do people still watch Serie A. Which i agree the league is no longer attractive that they have stop telecasting it on the pay tv. Even i only watch Juventus games in the league, i stop watching other teams as it is no longer interesting. Not like those days where every serie A match was nice to watch, the players and the atmosphere. Even the Milan Inter no one cares. I guess next season with Napoli and Roma to be pillaged in the summer it will be even less attractive for neutrals. I enjoy EPL alot these days, Richard Scudamore has really made a good work to rebrand it and made it the most watchable league in the world. I have never watched Juventus carry the European cup so to that's my ultimate objective. I can't stand the fact that a club as dominant as us have chocked so much in European finals. The thought of clubs like United and Inter has more CL titles, and we are have the same number of title with Forest is too much to comprehend. I am happy that Marotta said we arw targeting to be back in CL finals in two seasons time after our defeat at Bayern this season. It seems we have a big plan this summer.

it would have been 3 if he had got a straight red for lightly pushing the ref.

but he got a 2nd yellow (1 game ban) _and he lightly pushed the ref (3 games). that's the standard i guess.

It might be a bit heavy as 2 games should be enough 3 if you want to be really serious
Maybe they added a whining penalty but in this case Napoli should be suspended for the entire season..

Garbage town fans :hihi:

Merda fans :hihi:

too stupid to watch a video.
His head is very close to the referee so it could be intimidating but no headbutt being dealt here...
Maybe Bonucci deserved to get a yellow here (if he didnt get one) but nothing more than that...
